We have produced a new practice note, Growing my potential: Promoting safe, responsive, nurturing care and learning experiences and environments for babies and young children aged 1 and 2 years. This practice note has been designed to provide support and guidance to early learning and childcare (ELC) settings, including childminders. It shows the essential relationship between high-quality care and young children’s learning. It encourages staff to strengthen their self-evaluation approaches and supports continuous improvement to maximise the positive outcomes for our youngest children in Scotland.

👷🏼♂️Big changes 2022👷🏼♂️
Around the nursery we have replaced our signs with some modern versions to allow the nursery to grow and update as the years go on. These signs include all of the nursery’s contact information if you ever any inquiries.
We have created a new entrance for the 3-5 room to access the garden. With further changes to come ahead for the 3-5 area. We are always looking to grow and develop our areas to allow the children to achieve the best they can.
We are currently renovating a new space in the outdoor area for the under 3s. This will allow babies and toddlers to have greater accessibility to the back door area. Giving them more freedom and opportunity in outdoor play.
Around our back garden area we have added some fencing which allows us more privacy when outdoors exploring. Flood lights have also been added to allow the children to play longer outside in the darker months🌑
A big thank you to First Stop Safety Training and Chris who trained our staff team in Paediatric First AidKeeping your children Safe.
Here is our new menu for the week ahead. We are on week 2.
We are so looking forward to welcoming all our children back to Bradshaw x 🐻
🐻Good Luck to all our new Primary 1 children on their first day at school 🐻 x we are all so proud of you. Good luck to the big people too 💜
The children have been involved in choosing and purchasing resources to enhance the playroom and develop their learning. They have been involved from the start and some of the resources arrived at the nursery. The children are very happy with their choices.
