Huge well done to our Student Wee Aria who successfully auditioned for Imagine Theatre’s Beauty and the Beastie Christmas panto 🎭✨

Over 150 kids auditioned 😱 and was a very tough audition!

we are all so proud and can’t wait to come and watch you shine on the big stage ⭐️

Huge well done to all our students who auditioned and got recalls, having the confidence to put yourself out there and try new things is amazing 🤩 and we super proud of them all ⭐️💚

For dancers aged from as young as 3 years old up to age 6 who would love to get involved in competitions!

This class gives young dancers the chance to compete in solo and duo in different styles and events while building their confidence, skills and experience, ready to progress into one of our competition teams in the future.

It’s the perfect introduction to competing, with less commitment during those early years.

💚🖤 NEW ASN KIDS DANCE CLASS 🖤💚

At Dance Mafia, inclusion has always been important to us and we already welcome dancers with a wide range of additional support needs across our classes.

However, we also understand that not every child feels comfortable or is able to cope in a typical dance class environment. For some children, the noise, numbers, pace or structure of a regular class can simply be too much.

That’s why we’re introducing our new ASN Kids Dance Class – a smaller, supportive and relaxed environment where children can enjoy dance, music and movement at their own pace, with their parent/carer there to support them throughout the full session.

💚 No previous dance experience needed
🖤 Build confidence through music & movement
💚 Parent/carer stays for the full session

💚🖤 OUR OUTLAWZ – UDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 🖤💚

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our Outlawz this year and they narrowly missed out on a place in the World Championship Final.

But we genuinely couldn’t be prouder of them.

They were competing in a huge section packed with some of the best teams from all over the world, and they were right up there amongst them, narrowly missing that final spot.

And when you put it into perspective, what these kids have achieved is incredible.

Most of this team are still relatively new to dance and Hip Hop. None of them have been doing this for years and years, yet there they were on the UDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS stage, holding their own against incredibly experienced teams from across the globe. 🌍🔥

They performed AMAZINGLY. They gave everything they had every single time they stepped onto that floor and showed exactly why they deserved to be there.

Of course we would have loved to see them in that final, but making a World Championships final does not define how successful their week was.

Getting there was an achievement.
Competing at that level was an achievement.
Being right up there in such a massive section was an achievement.

This team has so much potential and, considering how early many of them are in their dance journey, this really does feel like just the beginning.

💚🖤 OUR TEACHING TEAM 🖤💚

I genuinely don’t think I have ever felt as good or as proud about the team we have around Dance Mafia as I do right now.

There is something really special about this group and the mix of people, experience and talent we now have under one roof.

The commitment and loyalty they show to Dance Mafia and our dancers is incredible. The hours getting these kids ready, extra rehearsals, planning, pushing, encouraging and believing in them. So much happens behind the scenes that nobody ever sees.

We have industry experts bringing their knowledge and experience into our studio, giving our dancers the opportunity to learn from people who really know their craft.

We have teachers who are still dancing, training and competing at the top of their own game, constantly developing and bringing that knowledge straight back to our dancers.

We have our teachers by our side at competitions, giving everything to our kids, supporting one another and creating the most amazing team around them. The atmosphere and togetherness we have right now makes me incredibly proud.

We also have those holding everything together back home while we’re away, keeping classes running and making sure every dancer continues to get everything they deserve. Their role is every bit as important.

And something that makes me especially proud our home grown Dance Mafia dancers who are now learning to become teachers themselves.

They’ve grown up in our studio, once looking up to the older dancers and teachers, and now they’re becoming those role models for the next generation. That’s exactly what we want Dance Mafia to be about.

From industry experts and teachers at the top of their game to our own next generation coming through…

Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different strengths. Different roles. But ONE TEAM.

A team loyal to Dance Mafia, committed to our dancers and genuinely invested in seeing them succeed.

I’ve never felt more confident in the people around our dancers or more excited about where this team can take Dance Mafia next.

This teaching team feels special, and I truly believe the best of Dance Mafia is still to come. 💚
