St Stephens C P School - Saltash

St Stephens C P School - Saltash Keeping in touch with life in school. We are one of four Primary Schools in Saltash. We have ten classes and almost 350 pupils on roll.

We believe that school should be a happy place where children and staff feel able to work at their maximum potential. All children have some talents, and it is the job of the school - with the help of parents and supporters - to nurture these talents. This is why we feel a wide curriculum is essential, and so we try to provide as many opportunities as we can for the children to grow and flourish i

Before our busy day of bouncy castles and fun farewells began, the children in Carbis Class took part in a game of “How Well Do You Know Mrs Shickell?” 🎉

It was safe to say there was lots of laughter all around! The children had everyone smiling with their funny answers, and some of them knew Mrs Shickell incredibly well. It was the perfect way to start a fun-filled day and create even more wonderful memories together! 💙

✨ Wow! Let’s all take a moment to appreciate just how absolutely fantastic this really is! 🎨🌿

Our children, alongside our amazingly creative staff, have completely blown us away during this year’s Arts Week. The school hall looks absolutely incredible, and we are all so, so proud of the amazing artwork that has been produced.

This year’s theme, ‘Patterns in Nature’, has been interpreted so differently by every class, with the children creating individual artwork, collaborative media pieces and contributing to a stunning large-scale sculpture using a wide range of materials and techniques.

The video really doesn’t do it justice, it’s truly wonderful to see in person. What an amazing celebration of creativity, teamwork and talent. Well done to everyone involved! 💚✨

Let’s see how many likes we can get from this fantastic work 💪⭐

Today, Treyarnon Class proudly shared their beautiful bee-themed art exhibition! 🐝🌼
Last week, the children explored the fascinating world of bees and beehives, learning about their importance in nature and the incredible role they play in our environment. Inspired by the amazing patterns found in nature—from the perfect hexagons of honeycombs to the colours and textures of flowers—the children created a wonderful collection of artwork full of creativity and imagination.
We are so proud of their hard work, curiosity and artistic talents. Well done, Treyarnon Class! 💛🐝✨

Mullion class had a fantastic time in their Forest School session making their own art using patterns from nature. We even had time to do some clay art by throwing clay balls at trees to imprint the bark pattern -both fun and creative! Sadly, this was our final Forest School session and we must say a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Morton for such fun, engaging lessons.
