I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone over the last few years! I have had the privilege of teaching such amazing children, getting to know such wonderful parents and working with the most amazing people. I really will miss you all so much and I am so thankful for all of you! I'm hoping to visit in the Autumn term before the travels begin.

I have told many of you and your children that I am hoping to stay in touch with the class on my travels and have introduced them to Orangutangy. She loved meeting the children and exploring the outdoor area I thought the children might like to see some photos if her before we go.

Many of you have been asking to see updates so I have started a page for anyone that is interested called Orangutangy's Adventures. I will be sending photos and updates once I go to their new teachers but I wanted to create somewhere for those of you that had asked me.

I really wish you all the best and will really miss you all. Thank you again.

Sorry not many again! Our weeks just get busier and busier! This week have practised their songs by performing to their friends in Foundation. They have played number games and
continued with their phonics learning. They have also started turning into pirates!

Sorry we haven't got many photos this week and a huge thank you to the parents who supplied these photos of our sports day! We were so busy we didn't have chance to take any but the children were brilliant and your support was amazing so thank you all! We have also been practising our songs ready for you please check your nursery in a box for dates and times or ask Miss Willcocks if you haven't seen them yet! We would love to welcome you to our two special performances!

This week we have been practising hard for sports day and the songs for our leavers performance. In phonics we have continued with our sounding out, the children are getting good at sounding out simple words on their own. In maths we have started solving simple maths problems. In English we have been reading looking at different sea animals that we find in our story. We also enjoyed going down to the woods to look for bugs and have a story.
Sorry for all of the concentration faces in the photos this week! We also read the story Sharing a Shell which gets a bit sad hence the concerned faces down in the woods but don't worry it had a happy ending!

This week we have enjoyed reading the story of Duffy's Lucky Escape the children have been thinking about how we could look after the sea animals. We have expanded our beach and Miss Willcocks has been busy checking our progress to see how much we have learnt this year and how to help us during the last couple of weeks. We have also been working on some surprises!

This week we have been enjoying the sun! We had to complete a tricky obstacle course complete with a wobbly bridge and stepping stones. We enjoyed the sand pit and have started to create a beach in our classroom. In maths we have been looking at more and less. In phonics we have been seeing if we can hear the differences between very similar sounding words while sounding out.
