Avon Small Saints Pre-School - Netheravon Avon Small Saints Pre-School is situated in a purpose built premises within the grounds of Netheravon All Saints Primary School.

We are over the moon to show you our new kitchen!

We honestly can’t thank everyone enough for helping us fundraise to refurbish our kitchen to allow a more social lunchtime, and for more learning opportunities for the children whilst building on their independence.

Thank you to Tesco community grant, Fascia and Guttering company for their hard work and our committee member Tag Pulham for organising and making our new kitchen a reality. And thank you to my wonderful team for pulling together and giving it a fresh lick of paint 💙

And of course to all our wonderful parents, thank you for your constant support. 🙏🏻

Something exciting has been happening at preschool this week!

Our kitchen is being renovated 🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone who helped fundraise to make this happen, your generosity at our fundraisers and voting for us in the Tesco Community Grant will now allow us to have a fully functioning kitchen where the children will be able to access more cooking opportunities 💙

We also have a beautiful sunflower that has bloomed; our wonderful children from last year helped plant these and it will be a lovely reminder of them and their new beginnings 🌻

One of our lovely families whose child left us to begin their big school adventure last year made us this amazing seating area at Pre-School. The children & staff have spent many days putting it to good use, sharing our favourite stories and songs together. During this summer holidays Graeme & Kate have been kind enough to come in again, paint it and add a lovely grass bit which has made it much more of a cozy area. We are so grateful and can't wait for the children to return in September. Also a huge thank you for cutting our grass so we are all ready for the new term! Thank you so much Graeme, Kate and Sabine :)

Thanks to all the efforts and to those who attended our open day. We have now been able to purchase a music licence for the year and an Alexa that will bring music and dancing to the setting. The children(and staff) have already enjoyed singing and dancing along together. Many thanks again and your efforts really help enrich the setting.

Today is Purple Up! Day and our children and staff were invited to wear something purple to celebrate the month of the military child 💜

The colour purple combines the colours associated with the different military branches.

The children have had the opportunities to try on military clothing such as shirts, jumpers, hats, gloves and snoods. This was a great opportunity for them to show their independence whilst dressing up. Some of the children used loose parts to create their own army bases.

We’ve created our own dandelion pictures and the children told us their wishes they would make when they blew the dandelions and the seeds flew away to grow in a new area 🌱

Lots of military children were able to share that they were from military families and where their mummies and daddies work. We spoke about the different countries they had travelled to and what we saw in our local community such as tanks 🌍

We have recently been learning about Morocco and celebrating our differences. One of our wonderful families have brought us all to try some traditional Moroccan food;

Maakouda (Moroccan potato cakes) and Begrir (Semolina honeycomb pancakes)
