Welcome back to Preschool everyone! 🤗

We are having a super first day of term here in Green Dragons 💚 starting off with our first Morning Club of the year, featuring some hungry dinosaurs! 🥣

Morning Club starts at 8am 🕗 We offer a range of breakfast items such as toast, jam, marmite, cereals, crackers, fresh fruit and breadsticks 🥯 and we will continue to rotate new foods into our snack menu as we go on 🍌

Please let Gemma know if you would like to sign your little one up for Morning Club or Afternoon Club 👍🏻

WOW 🤩 What a celebration we had for our wonderful Green Dragons graduates today! 🐉

We are SO proud of our brilliant children, singing their favourite songs from across the year 🎶 and then getting up onto the stage one by one to wave to their loved ones and hear their certificate being read out 🥲

Every single child had a cheer squad in the audience 🎉 who not only battled the heat (thank you to the committee for selling ice cold drinks!), but whooped and clapped and came up to the front to show their support for their little one 🥰

We’re not sure who was chopping onions out there today… 😭 but we sure are excited for the adventures these incredible children have to come 🎓

HUGE thanks to the brilliant practitioner team, led by Sophie, and the epic Committee for the delicious summer fair that followed🧁

Have you seen our exciting news? 🤗 We will be opening our Baby Dragons room in September! 🙌🏻

Suitable for children aged 9 months - 2 years 👶🏻 Run by our wonderful Early Years teacher and Deputy Manager, Sharon. It will be a home-from-home space where the very littlest learners will have the best time playing and exploring 💙

Please get in touch if you would like to book your space! 🌈

Have the children shown you their new dance moves this afternoon?! 💃🏻 We were so happy to welcome Elly from Panthera Dance Company to Preschool today to move it and groove it with our little ones! 🤗

Thank you so much, Elly! Everyone was very enthusiastic and we all picked up some funky new dance skills 🕺🏼

And thank you parents - these wonderful experiences wouldn’t be possible without your parent contributions 🥰

Tonight Henrietta took part in her first Preschool committee meeting 💻

She brought some important items to the agenda, and voted with her beak on some crucial decisions 🦆

Thanks for your input, Henry! 🤭

Ever wondered what your parent contribution goes towards? 💰

Here are a few recent purchases which wouldn’t have been possible without your generous fundraising efforts to enrich the experiences of our little ones 🤗

🌟 A cool box for outdoor play, full of ice packs at the ready for little tumbles in the playground. This saves a practitioner having to whizz inside to the fridge 👌🏻
🌟 sound recording buttons - a great sensory addition to our phonics curriculum 👂🏻
🌟 new books and art resources that ensure representation is embedded here at Preschool 🤗
🌟 Hatching facilities, butterfly lores and outside storage 🦆
🌟 A dance workshop coming up this month! 💃🏻

…and much more! 🫶🏻 The government’s ’free’ childcare hours just about cover the basic running costs and wages at a nursery setting.

Anything extra that you see - and don’t see - comes from our much needed parent contributions and we are SO grateful, as are the children ☀️ THANK YOU 🙏
