First Steps Nursery

Today, our pre-school children have been learning all about the eclipse happening tonight! 🌙

They enjoyed creating the process with their own Sun, Moon and Earth and were excited to see how it works.
They also made their own cereal box eclipse viewer and talked about staying safe and protecting their eyes from the sun.

The eclipse is such an incredible phenomenon and we are so fortune to be able experience it. We have loved watching the children explore, learn and ask lots of questions!💫

🌼Our nursery adventures!🌼

We’ve been enjoying lots of wonderful trips recently, with our children, getting out and about. It’s been lovely to see their curiosity and excitement as they explore and experience everything our local community has to offer! 🌿

🏍️ Vroom, vroom! What an exciting day at nursery 🏍️

Today we had a motorbike park in the garden at nursery for all the children to see. They enjoyed having the opportunity to sit on the bike, listen to it rev, and watching it ride away.

This experience was inspired by our Acorn Room children, who love watching transport from their window, especially noisy motorbikes and emergency vehicles with their sirens.

There were lots of smiles and excitement as we brought one of their favourite interests to life! 🏍️✨

🫧🎨 Pop, jump & paint 🎨🫧
Our little ones had a bubbly time! With colourful paint underneath the bubble wrap, they jumped, stomped and popped their way across it, creating beautiful artwork as they played.

Lots of giggles, messy fun and POP POP POPS! 🫧

💕🧸Teddy bear day 🧸💕

The children in the Oak Room and Acorn Room had a wonderful time celebrating Teddy Bear Day! They enjoyed bringing their favourite teddy bears along and taking part in lots of fun teddy bear-themed activities. The teddies even joined for a very yummy picnic. It was a lovely day filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of cuddly fun! 🧸

🎓🌟 Our wonderful Oak Room had the best time celebrating at their Nursery Graduation Party 🌟🎓

The children enjoyed lots of dancing, and proudly singing "We Will Rock You" together to all of their families – what a fantastic way to celebrate all they have achieved!

We are so proud of every one of them and wish them all the very best as they begin their exciting new adventure at school. Good luck Oak Room – we know you'll all be amazing! 🌟

🦋 A special butterfly visitor today 🦋

Today we rescued a butterfly that had become trapped in Oak Room. When we took him outside to set him free, he was feeling a little tired and landed gently on one of the grown-ups.
We gave him a slice of orange to help him regain some energy, however he has still chosen to stay in the garden for now. The oranges must be too yummy! We talked about why it's important not to touch their delicate wings and how we can care for the wildlife around us! 🦋
