What a fantastic Sports Day! 🏅 Our whole school community came together for a brilliant day of teamwork, determination and fun. We are incredibly proud of all our pupils and their amazing effort. 🏰✨ Today, our Barn Owls stepped back in time for an exciting History enrichment day with the educational team from Salisbury Museum! The children explored the fascinating world of castles, enjoyed hands-on learning activities, and had great fun dressing up to bring history to life. A wonderful day of learning, imagination and discovery! ✨🏰

✨ A Thought-Provoking Day with The Bridge ✨
Yesterday, all of our children from Years 1–6 took part in a truly immersive and reflective experience led by The Bridge, exploring the theme of Prayer.
Throughout the day, the children thoughtfully considered their own hopes and dreams, whilst also learning about different types of prayer—such as saying thank you, asking for help, and taking time for quiet reflection. It was wonderful to see such maturity, curiosity and engagement from all involved.
We are incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with The Bridge, which continues to enrich our pupils’ spiritual development in such meaningful ways. 💫

We are so proud of everyone who took part in today’s Salisbury Mini Marathon. The children showed fantastic determination, resilience, and team spirit throughout the event.

A special congratulations to our Year 5 & 6 girls’ team for achieving an incredible 1st place finish, and to one of our speedy Year 4 girls for coming 2nd in her race.

After a few weeks of anticipation, Duckling Class were delighted to welcome their first two ducklings as they hatched! The children have been full of excitement, and our new arrivals have already become a much-loved part of the class.
Yesterday, the children had the very important job of choosing names - so a warm welcome to Pickles and Steve! 🐥
We’re looking forward to watching them grow over the coming weeks and continuing to share this very special experience together.

We are so proud of our Year 6 pupils and the resilience they have shown during SATs week. They approached each test with such positivity and determination, which has been wonderful to see.
A big well done to them all- we’re sure the delicious breakfasts each morning helped keep them going too! 🌟🥐

To share a little joy, here are a few photos from last week’s Ducklings trip to Longdown Activity Farm 🐐🐥
The children had a wonderful day feeding goats, holding fluffy chicks, enjoying a tractor/trailer ride and exploring the many exciting areas of the farm. They all returned home happily exhausted after such a super day, full of hands‑on learning and fun!
A big thank you to all the parents who supported the trip and to the fantastic Year R team for making it such a memorable experience 💛

🌟 Celebration Assembly Highlights! 🌟
Today in our Celebration Assembly, we were delighted to celebrate all the pupils who took part in the Chalke Valley Challenge. We recognised the children’s fantastic achievements, determination and perseverance, as well as congratulating those who placed 1st–3rd in each category – what an amazing effort from everyone involved! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👏
A huge thank you to FOBS, our wonderful PTA, for organising such a brilliant community event. We are so proud of our children and the wider Chalke Valley community 💙

🌿 Forest Fun with the Barn Owls! 🌿
Earlier this week, our inquisitive Barn Owls enjoyed a fantastic Forest Fun session. The children explored the fascinating world of insect pollinators, following a pollinator trail and collecting pollen along the way.
A real highlight was using microscopes to observe the pollen up close – a wonderful hands‑on opportunity to investigate nature in detail! 🐝🔬🌼
