Happy Easter to you all.

We were saddened to hear the news about Moyles Court School and are thinking of all the pupils, families and staff affected.
Moments like this are difficult for any school community, but we know they can be especially challenging for families of children with SEND, where familiarity, routine and trusted relationships play such an important role.
At Appleford School, we see every child as an individual, and we understand how important it is to feel secure, understood and supported in the right environment. When change happens unexpectedly, finding the right next step can feel daunting, particularly when time is limited.
Our team is here to listen, to guide and to support families through this transition in a thoughtful and compassionate way. If we can help in any way, please do get in touch or visit our website for more information. Moyles Court School

Spring was truly in the air as Prep came together to celebrate a joyful and meaningful Easter service, beautifully led by our chaplain, Elliott. 🌿✨
The service was a wonderful moment of reflection, bringing our community together to mark this special time of year with warmth, hope, and togetherness.
Afterwards, excitement filled the grounds as the much-anticipated Easter hunt began! 🐣🌸 Smiles, laughter, and a little friendly competition made it a perfect way to celebrate the day.
A huge thank you to Elliott for leading such a thoughtful service, and to everyone who helped make the service so special.

This morning, these amazing pupils did their first Park run! Cheered on by parents, friends and teachers (and fuelled by handmade mini egg cookies), they all made it to the finish line - and in record time!

These pupils have been doing the Couch to 5km app over the last Term during Citizenship time. We have loved running with them through the village - it’s been such fun!
For their efforts, they have also raised more than £300 for Help for Heroes (amount to be confirmed). It just shows that nothing is going to stand in the way of our pupils determination! Well done all!

Today our Year 10 and Year 11 pupils took an important step towards their futures as they participated in mock interviews.
From college applications to preparing for the world of work, these practice sessions help build confidence, communication skills, and professionalism.
We’re incredibly proud of the effort, resilience, and ambition shown by all students — the future is looking bright! 🌟

World Book Day today and we went full Roald Dahl! 📚
Lots of costumes, lots of chocolate, and possibly a little less learning than usual…
Safe to say the classroom feels a bit like W***y Wonka’s factory today! 🍫

Year 7 had an amazing day out at Mr and Mrs Foord’s farm, discovering what real farming life looks like. From caring for animals to understanding how our food is grown, they got hands‑on with the hard work that keeps our countryside thriving. Proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and muddy boots!

We’re proud to share that our school has introduced proper waste segregation bins across the school ♻️
With clearly labelled recycling, general waste, and dedicated food waste bins, we’re making it easier for children, staff, and visitors to do the right thing for our environment 🌍
By encouraging everyone to separate their waste correctly, we’re teaching our students the importance of responsibility, sustainability, and caring for our planet — lessons that go far beyond the classroom.
Small actions every day can lead to big change. Let’s work together to reduce waste and build greener habits for the future 💚

Last week of term, our Year 11 Science students headed to the Materials Recycling Facility run by Grist Environmental in Devizes ♻️
They explored where all our waste goes after it leaves our homes, how it’s sorted and processed, and discovered why recycling is so important for protecting the environment 🌍
A fantastic opportunity to see science in action and understand the real impact of reducing, reusing and recycling!
