WE WON THE PANATHLON 2026!! Well done Team Bemerton, great team work and fun had by all.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families who joined us on Sunday 16th November for our first-ever Junior Parkrun takeover at Churchill Gardens. With over 70 BSJ children taking part — an incredible third of the whole school — the morning had such a joyful, buzzing atmosphere. The children ran, walked and skipped their way around the 2km course, while staff teamed up with the regular Parkrun volunteers to help run the event. It was brilliant to see so many parents cheering, supporting and getting involved, and we’re proud to have been the first primary school in Salisbury to take on a Junior Parkrun takeover! It was the second highest number of runners ever at Salisbury and the first time they have had over 200 runners in 6 and a half years!
We hope the experience has inspired families to come along again on Sunday mornings — Junior Parkrun is free, friendly and a lovely way to start the day together. Thank you once again for making it such a memorable community moment for BSJ 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️

Understanding School Anxiety: Early Signs of Emotional Barriers to School Attendance Friday 12 December 10am – 12pm.

Booking closes on Friday 5 December. We will also be running this course on Thursday 15 January 2026.

Courses are free for adults aged 19+ who meet eligibility criteria (as published on flyers but we are always happy to discuss eligibility on a case by case basis). To make a booking, new learners need to complete an application form, which we follow up with a phone call. New learners also need to attend an online welcome meeting, which explains what to expect from our courses and how our teaching platform works.

We hope to see lots of you there - members of staff will be cheering the runners on around the course so look out for them in their high vis jackets! Briefing and warm up starts at 8:50am. More information about the course can be found here: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/churchillgardens-juniors/

I will be taking photos for the Salisbury journal so could children please wear either their school PE kit or a PE hoody if possible. Please let me know on the day if you do not want your child/children in the photos.
