🌍 Find your voice, shape your future
The family atmosphere of the school, the small class sizes and outstanding personal development of the pupils leads to a rich and happy education. We have been educating children on this site for over 100 years and our academic record is very strong. However, we firmly believe learning should be imaginative and fun. We are proud to be small enough to provide individual attention and large enough o

A wonderful evening for a wonderful Year 11!
Our Year 11 pupils celebrated the end of their time at Leehurst Swan in style at their Prom – a very special evening filled with laughter, friendship and plenty of happy memories.
This has been a fantastic year group, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and the contribution they have made to school life. It has been a privilege to watch them grow into the young people they are today.
As they prepare for the next chapter, we wish every one of them all the very best for the future. They will be greatly missed at Leehurst – but they will always be part of our school community.
Good luck, Year 11. We can't wait to see where life takes you next!

Thank you to Ockenden Financial Planning for supporting Leehurst Cricket
As the cricket season comes to a close, we’d like to thank Ockenden Financial Planning for generously sponsoring our Middle School cricket shirts.
Thanks to their support, our pupils have represented Leehurst in smart new kit throughout the season, taking part in fixtures against local schools and enjoying all that cricket has to offer. The sponsorship has benefited every member of the squad, helping pupils wear the school colours with pride.

Looking beyond the classroom:
What does a software developer actually do? How do you build a career in engineering? What is it like to work in marketing for a global company, develop life-changing medicines, or help businesses grow through finance?
Last week our Year 9 and Year 10 pupils had the opportunity to hear directly from professionals working across a wide range of industries, including technology, engineering, science, marketing, banking and the creative sector.
Rather than reading about careers, pupils were able to ask questions, explore different pathways and discover how the subjects they study today can open doors tomorrow.
We are hugely grateful to all of our guest speakers, who generously gave their time and shared honest insights into their careers and the journeys that led them there.
At Leehurst Swan, we believe education is about preparing young people not just for exams, but for life beyond school—helping them discover their interests, broaden their horizons and approach the future with confidence.

Teamwork was the theme of the morning in RS as our Year 7 and Year 9 pupils took on a series of end-of-term challenges.
As well as building colourful models of places of worship, pupils tackled RS-themed Pictionary, discussed moral dilemmas, explained key religious ideas and even created their own adverts.
It was a brilliant way to round off the year, with lots of laughter, creativity and teamwork, while putting everything they have learned into practice.

How tall is a tree?
Members of our Middle School Science Club put their maths and science skills to the test by building their own inclinometers using nothing more than card, drinking straws, string and weights.
Working together, they measured the angle to the top of one of the large trees in our grounds, combined this with the distance from the trunk, and then used Pythagoras’ theorem to calculate the tree’s approximate height.
It was a brilliant hands-on lesson that brought together science, maths, teamwork and problem-solving, while showing pupils how the same techniques are used by surveyors, geologists and other professionals in the real world.
Learning comes to life when pupils can get outside, ask questions and discover the answers for themselves.

Expanding our school transport: From September, we’ll be adding a new southern bus route to our existing school transport service.
The route will serve Fordingbridge, Burgate, Downton, Alderbury and Salisbury College (Southampton Road) before arriving at Leehurst Swan School.
Providing safe and convenient transport is an important part of supporting busy families, and we’re pleased to be extending our network ahead of the new academic year.
To find out more about our bus routes, or to enquire about a place on board, visit www.leehurstswan.org.uk/bus-routes/ or get in touch with our Admissions team.

We are incredibly fortunate to have the Chalke History Festival right on our doorstep.
For decades, this unique event has inspired thousands of children and adults by bringing history to life through talks, demonstrations, living history and hands-on experiences. It is a remarkable local resource and one that we are always delighted to support.
Our pupils enjoyed a fascinating day of discovery, proving that some of the best classrooms don’t have four walls.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this year’s festival another outstanding success.

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome our new pupils and families to Leehurst Swan School for our New Pupils Welcome Day.
It was wonderful to see children beginning to make new friendships, meet their teachers and start exploring the school ahead of joining our community in September. From the excitement in the classrooms to the warm conversations between families and staff, the day was filled with positivity and anticipation for the year ahead.
Starting at a new school is such an important milestone, and we are proud to create an environment where every child feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged from the very beginning.
We are very much looking forward to seeing all our new pupils again soon and welcoming them officially into the Leehurst Swan family.
