Not everyone likes Biscoff…
I’ve been thinking about this recently, and I wonder if it actually sums up quite a lot of my philosophy when it comes to Drama Club Salisbury.
I LOVE Biscoff. It’s absolutely delicious. 🤎
Someone once told me they didn’t like it and I was genuinely shocked. 😂
Then, when I was out running, I started thinking…
Just because someone doesn’t like Biscoff, Biscoff shouldn’t change itself.
It’s Biscoff! 🤣
I think the same applies to business.
With DCS, I’ve been brave enough to try so many different things. Sometimes I’ve thought, THIS IS GENIUS! This is exactly what children need. I’m going to be inundated!
Then two people book. 😂
So I change it and try something else.
Someone once asked me, “Isn’t it disappointing when something doesn’t work?”
Honestly, no.
Something not working isn’t a reflection of me. It’s information.
It tells me what people want, what they don’t want, what they’re prepared to pay for and what I need to change.
I think you need to be your own Biscoff.
Know who you are. Know what you believe in. Don’t constantly change your values because someone doesn’t like what you’re doing.
At the same time, you need enough humility to listen, adapt and try something different when something isn’t working.
That’s probably one of the biggest things I’ve learned from building DCS.
Be completely yourself, but never stop learning.
Not everyone is going to love Biscoff.
Not everyone is going to love what I do.
That’s absolutely fine.
Because it turns out, lots of people really bloody love my version of Biscoff. 😂🤎

Doing well!!! I’m always in two minds when I’m doing invoices…
On the one hand, I hate doing them. On the other, it’s so important to get paid and get some energy back in money form for all the time, effort, heart and soul I put into my work.
So here I am, trying to keep going and finish the task!
If you get an invoice from me, thank you. ❤️ Thank you for helping me pay for things like our family’s food, insurance and bills. 😂
It’s all so boring, but it’s the way of the world, isn’t it?
Actually, I think there’s something quite lovely about that. We all exchange our time, skills and energy for money. That money helps us look after the people and things we care about.
Now… back to the invoices. 😂
