This year marks the 5th Annual Grammar Christmas Fair Located at Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School Sports Hall and Study room between 10am and 2pm, Saturday 22nd November. The Fair supports local businesses, charities as well as the 2 Grammar schools. With FREE ENTRY you'll be entertained by our School musicians whilst browsing the wide range of Christmas gifts and refreshments. To top it off buy some tickets to our HUGE CHRISTMAS RAFFLE.

Grammar Christmas Fair 2025 Welcome to the Grammar Christmas Fair - a collaboration of the two Salisbury Grammar Schools, Bishop Wordsworth's School and South Wilts Grammar School. Rain or Shine brings you Sheridan's witty Restoration comedy, featuring the eccentric Mrs Malaprop who constantly misuses words with the same sound to huge comic effect.

When fashionable 18th century London society comes to take the waters in the spa-town of Bath, comic confusion, daring duels and romantic entanglements abound.

At the centre of it all is heiress Lydia Languish, who is determined to elope with the penniless Ensign Beverly rather than marry the eligible Jack Absolute.

This brand new adaptation combines Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s masterpiece with Rain or Shine’s fast and furious comic flair.

Join us on the headmaster's lawn,

Play starts at 7pm,

Gates open from 6pm.

The School's Parents' Association provide hot/cold drinks and snacks in the interval.
