Emily does weekly music lessons at The Griffin School and the children think she's fab!

We are now taking summer holiday music sessions for 0-4yr olds
(older siblings welcome) on Mon, Tues and Weds throughout
the summer! Our classes use a mixture of singing, signing,
percussion, and dancing with and without backing tracks as
well as using real live instruments. Over the term this will
include violin, viola, cello, bagpipes, recorder, flute, whistle,
ukulele, guitar, harp and accordion!

Here is our summer holiday timetable

The Griffin School holiday club enjoyed a visit to the Hawk Conservancy in Andover today.

Our October Holiday Club is now open for bookings.
You can find the booking form, planner and registration form on our website.
If you are new to the holiday club we will need a registration form along with the booking form.

Please note we are very limited with spaces.

On Friday we said goodbye to our Woodpecker class who are all off to school in September.
We would like to wish them all the best and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know each and every one of you.

Exciting news!

We are now in the process of using Tapestry - The online learning journal.

This means we can keep you updated with what your little one is up to while in our care. Which is great for peace of mind and also perfect for keeping memories of their time at little school.

At least once a week we will be updating their journals with pictures and little notes of what they have being doing. 📸

(This is for Robins, Bluebirds and Woodpeckers in September)

Last Monday we had some little eggs delivered to the school.
We kept them all nice and warm in an incubator until they were ready to hatch.
Then when they were a day old our bigger children were able to give them a little hold and we were able to send some lovely photos to the parents.

Even our staff couldn't resist having a little cuddle 🐥

Full-time role approx. 40 hours per week, flexible, to be agreed.

About us

The Griffin School is a small independent nursery and wraparound care service.
We are based in Salisbury next to Old Sarum and Hudson’s Field. There is substantial parking and there is a bus stop directly outside the building.
We are passionate about childcare and we put a big emphasis on going out on trips so that our children can learn and develop out in the world as well as in the classroom.
We believe in giving the best opportunities to all children.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to lead our 0-2s room and get involved with all aspects of our nursery life.
The successful candidate will be flexible, hardworking and caring.
The candidate must be passionate about children's learning, play and development and have a thorough understanding of the EYFS.
As a room leader you will be expected to manage the room and plan an interesting and varied programme of activities and trips.
The right candidate would be expected to role model behaviours for other members of staff as well as children and uphold our core values of giving every child the best start in life and safeguarding all children.
Frequent communication and partnership working with parents is integral in this role for the development and well-being of the children.

Full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare is essential.
