How I Go Into The Woods

Ordinarily I go to the woods alone,
with not a single friend,
for they are all smilers and talkers
and therefore unsuitable.
I don’t really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds
or hugging the old black oak tree.
I have my ways of praying,
as you no doubt have yours.
Besides, when I am alone
I can become invisible.
I can sit on the top of a dune
as motionless as an uprise of weeds,
until the foxes run by unconcerned.
I can hear the almost unhearable sound of the roses singing.
If you have ever gone to the woods with me,
I must love you very much.

Making Elderflower cordial together......also making playdough with the left over Elderflower... beautiful summery smells filling the garden! We also incorporated it into our water play too!

Bird spotting and bug hunting at Langford lakes....

Half term adventures at Mottisfont....

1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive...🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

We have...caught five fish,
Splashed and paddled,
Thrown stones into the river and watched the ripples,
Enjoyed the bird song, flowers and butterflies!🦋🦋🦈🐝

Best thing for a hot, sunny day!☀️☀️☀️

World bee day - 20th May 🐝🐝🐝🐝

We have definitely had lots of fun celebrating the bees today...we have ....

🐝 Made honey play dough
🐝 Painting using other tools, trying to paint a bee
,🐝 Planting bee friendly seeds
🐝 reading bee stories, and singing songs
🐝 Going on a bee hunt
🐝 Making a garden for our small world bees

Spaces available on Wed and Thurs from May , school holiday muddy owls too...forest skills, outstanding outside setting, led by a qualified eyfs teacher and practitioner ( 27 years) experience, home from home setting, nature inspired and working towards hygge in the early years accreditation.

BUBBLES AND BLOSSOM 🌸🌸🌸🌸

We have enjoyed a lovely visit to the park and collected some fallen blossom 🌸🌸🌸 ...we were living the smell and the texture of the petals and decided to print with them!

Beautiful Spring colours! Perfect for making our loose part spring tree too!
