Salisbury Cathedral School Co-ed day and boarding prep school for children aged 2 to 13, in Salisbury Wiltshire.

Situated in one of the most spectacular locations in England, Salisbury Cathedral School is a thriving independent day and boarding school for around 225 girls and boys aged from 2 to 13. With the former Bishop’s Palace at its heart and in 27 acres of beautiful grounds within the Cathedral Close, the school has a special relationship with the Cathedral and educates the choristers who make up its two world famous choirs.

Year 5 headed into space to celebrate World Space Week!

Joined by Jo Richardson from Space Detectives our Year 2 and Year 5 pupils used VR headsets to travel through the Solar System, explore Saturn’s icy moon Enceladus and land on Mars.

Pictured here are Year 5 enjoying their adventure. A wonderful way to spark curiosity and inspire our budding astronauts. Perhaps one day, one of them will make the journey for real!

Our Roots to Thrive bring together the Core Values of Respect, Community, Curiosity and Resilience.

Alongside these, the Core Values for our Pre-Prep are Kindness, Creativity, Thinking and Courage.

We loved hearing our pupils put these values into their own words and share what they mean to them.

Celebrating the European Day of Languages at SCS!

Our pupils and staff had great fun taking on the MFL department’s Tongue Twister Challenge in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech and Polish! A brilliant celebration of languages, cultures and the joy of communication.

A fantastic afternoon of football at Salisbury Cathedral School!

We were delighted to welcome teams from schools across the area for our Years 3 and 4 Football Tournament, with more than 220 pupils taking part.

It was brilliant to see so many children out on the pitches, playing matches, representing their schools and, most importantly, having a go and enjoying their football.

A wonderful afternoon of teamwork, determination and school sport. Thank you to all the schools who joined us and everyone who helped make the tournament such a success.

CURIOUS ABOUT RECEPTION 2027?

Come along to our Percy the Park Keeper themed Stay & Play and discover a little more about life in Reception at Salisbury Cathedral School.

Children can enjoy stories, music, play and activities inspired by Percy and his woodland friends, including a music session with our Director of Music, Susie Lamb.

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet Linda Cunningham-Brown, our Head of Pre-Prep and Reception teacher, and find out more about starting Reception at SCS.

LIMITED SPACES REMAINING!

We’ve had a fantastic response so far and are delighted by the interest. We’re already looking at adding further Stay & Play dates in the future.
