The Annual Alumni Reunion and Jazbytes 20th Anniversary Celebration took place on Sunday 14 June at Salisbury Cathedral School, welcoming over 100 guests, including 37 current and former Jazbytes players.
Founded by Dave Andrews 20 years ago, Jazbytes has grown into a much-loved ensemble, with nearly 300 pupils taking part and many going on to professional music careers.
Former pupils returned to perform alongside current musicians, including professional trumpet player Luke Lane and his sister Emma, who performed before going on to study at the Guildford School of Music and Drama. We were also delighted to welcome Benny Tayler and Maxim Lewis, now studying Music at the University of Manchester.
A huge thank you to Dave Andrews for 20 years of inspiration and impact.

What a fantastic U11 Cricket Tour!

Over three memorable days, the pupils enjoyed competitive cricket, time together as a team, a visit to Brean Beach, and the opportunity to experience boarding life at Wellington Prep. The tour concluded with a final fixture against South Wilts CC back at Salisbury Cathedral School.

Most importantly, the children represented the school brilliantly throughout, showing excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and enthusiasm. Thank you to Wellington Prep for their wonderful hospitality, to our staff for their support, and to all the families who helped make the tour such a success.

Year 6 – Plate Designs

Following their visit to where they explored the work of Japanese artist and ceramicist Makoto Kagoshima, Year 6 have designed their own plates. Congratulations to Arthur, who stepped up to compete in his first BE90 Under-18 event at Bovington last weekend.

Competing in a strong and highly competitive class, Arthur delivered an impressive dressage score of 31.3 before going on to achieve a double clear round, finishing in an excellent 13th place overall.

Adding to the occasion, Arthur was interviewed during the event as the youngest competitor in the class – a fantastic achievement and a memorable experience.

Well done, Arthur, on a superb debut at BE90 level. We look forward to following your future eventing successes.

Congratulations to Isla, who achieved an outstanding 2nd place at the South Regional Championships earlier this year.

Competing at Regional 4 level for the very first time, Isla was just seven years old and was competing against children aged 9–10, some nearly four years older than her. Having only recently progressed to this level, she showed remarkable courage and determination throughout the competition.

Isla successfully completed all three of her routines and was rewarded with a fantastic silver medal, finishing 2nd in the South of England.

This is a tremendous achievement and reflects the hard work, resilience and commitment Isla has shown in her training. We wish her the very best of luck in her upcoming competition this summer and as she continues to work towards future English qualifications in/around April time.

Well done, Isla!
