Today’s messy play was all about minibeasts and lifecycles 🐛🦋🐞
Through sensory exploration, scooping, pouring and discovering hidden creatures, little learners explored how tiny creatures grow and change. From wriggly caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, messy play helps children learn through hands-on fun while building curiosity, confidence and fine motor skills. 🌿✨
Learning through play is always the best way!

What a lovely day of exploring! 🌿🐞 Today we took a walk down by the stream, through the village and on to the park, searching for mini beasts along the way. The children loved spotting bugs and creatures in their natural habitats while learning all about lifecycles. 🐛🦋🐞

World Earth Day activities we have explored…
22/04/2026
On Tuesday we celebrated World Earth Day by heading out on a little litter-picking adventure! 🌍🧤
The children did a fantastic job helping to keep our local area clean and learning why it’s important to look after our planet.
They were so proud of the difference they made — and I was very proud of them too!

A lovely spring outing to the park with our friends today.
The children had so much fun exploring, climbing, running and enjoying the fresh air together — there’s nothing better than outdoor play and friendship in the sunshine. We continued our spring theme by colouring beautiful wooden flowers 🌸 A perfect calm and creative activity to finish the day, and the children loved choosing their colours and designs.
A wonderful balance of active play and creativity today 🌼
