🏅 Our incredible EYFS department had a brilliant Sports Day this week! The children gave it their all, showcasing amazing energy, determination, and teamwork. 💪 Even the parents got stuck in! We are so proud of how well our little ones did- we may have spotted some future sports stars in the making! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

What a busy week we have had at Avondale. From Meet & Greet Coffee Sessions to Sports Day and Performing Arts Evening! It was a pleasure to have Mr Wardle visit us in preparation for the new school year.

This week, our Nursery and Tots have been showcasing their brilliant writing and maths skills through exciting activities based on the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Our older children have shown fantastic pen control as they traced key words from the story, strengthening their pencil grip and fine motor skills. They also worked hard—mostly independently—to complete number lines, carefully identifying and filling in the missing numbers. Incredible number formation and problem-solving from our amazing 4-year-olds... fully school-ready and shining with confidence! 🌟✏️🔢 Meanwhile, our younger children have been exploring early maths skills by filling and emptying pots with oats, using lots of fantastic capacity language along the way. They've also been sorting items from big to small, developing their understanding of size and order—all through hands-on, sensory play! 🥣📏👶

After performing for the whole school at their Nursery Graduation 🎓, our little stars 🌟 celebrated with a joyful Teddy Bear’s Picnic 🧸- complete with a giant bouncy castle 🏰, outdoor activities 🌞, and a picnic lunch 🧺. What a glorious day! 🌈

🌿 Outdoor Adventures at Avondale Nursery! 🌿
Our little explorers had a wonderful day connecting with nature — building bug hotels, creating with mud paint, and discovering the magic of the outdoors through hands-on play and imagination! 🐛🎨🍃 These experiences are all part of our nurturing, child-centred approach that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence from the very start.
