Last Thursday we were treated to a mini concert and demonstration by the Fordingbridge Handbell Ringers. After listening to some pieces, the children had a go themselves! Members from the group are kindly starting a handbell ringing club, which began today - get ready to listen to some beautiful chiming from our ringers later this term! ๐Ÿ””

๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ›ŸPeople Who Help Us Day๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ›Ÿ

Today EYFS were joined by Hale Primary School and Hyde Church of England Primary School for a day of learning.

The day started with a visit from PCSO Steve May who talked about the role of the Police. He showed us his uniform and we explored his Police van.

Then we were visited by Janet from RNLI who taught us 4 steps to stay safe in water.

It ended with a visit from Lindsay from Daisy First Aid who taught us what to do if we find someone unresponsive, someone chocking or someone injured. We learnt to apply plasters and bandages and how to get help.

Both Buttercup and Rosehip Class had a busy morning at Breamore Church learning about the Easter story. A big thank you to Rev. Vicky for leading such an engaging and interactive session.

The children ended their visit by creating their own beautiful Easter gardensโ€”what a lovely way to bring the story to life! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿฃ

๐ŸŒฟ Pond Work Update! ๐ŸŒฟ

A huge thank you to the amazing team who helped kick off our pond clearance over the weekend! ๐Ÿ™Œ Thanks to your efforts, all the nettles and brambles have been cleared, and we can finally see the pond beneath.

Next steps:
๐Ÿ’ง Work with a plumber to get the water tank up and running so we can fill the pond.
๐ŸŒ‰ Install a bridge so the children can safely enjoy pond dipping.

Weโ€™re also looking for sponsors to help us:

Purchase two benches for pond dipping

Replace some of our pond dipping equipment

If youโ€™d like to get involved or support our project, please get in touch! Every bit of help brings our pond to life for the children to enjoy. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿธ

By the end of the day, one egg had already hatched โ€” an amazing moment for everyone to witness. ๐Ÿฃ

Weโ€™re looking forward to watching the rest of the ducklings hatch.

๐Ÿ„ Today, Buttercup had a fantastic day visiting Longdown Activity Farm, where we all became farmers for the day! ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿ

The children enjoyed a hands-on experience, including bottle feeding baby cows and goats, holding chicks, collecting eggs, and so much more. It was a fun-filled day full of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Well done, Buttercup, for being such brilliant farmers! ๐ŸŒŸ

Feliz Navidad! YR, 1 and 2 led a special worship today. They have been learning about how Christmas is celebrated on Mexico and held their own Las Posadas procession. From 16th December, each evening, Mary and Joseph travel from house to house looking for somewhere to stay and are turned away until Christmas Eve. They also told the story of the miracle of La Flor de Nochebuena (the Poinsettia, the flower of the Holy night). Avon Valley Churches Diocese of Wi******er
