The children have had a wonderful week!
They thoroughly enjoyed watering the plants and picking fresh vegetables at the allotment, taking great pride in helping to care for the garden.
We also had a fantastic trip to Wildcatz Soft Play, where the children loved exploring both the indoor and outdoor play areas. The zip line was a particular favourite, with lots of smiles and laughter throughout the day.
Another highlight was our bike ride to Durrington Park. The children had great fun feeding the swans and ducks by the river before enjoying the park together. We also visit the new park in Amesbury.
We visited the meadow on Salisbury Plain, where they enjoyed catching grasshoppers and butterflies exploring the forest area, and running freely while discovering nature and using their imaginations.
The children also enjoyed making delicious banana and chocolate chip muffins. They took turns adding the ingredients, carefully mixed everything together, and spooned the mixture into cupcake cases before they were baked. It was a lovely activity that encouraged turn-taking, following instructions, and developing independence in the kitchen.
Today, we finished the week with a fun, nature-inspired art activity. We mixed water with turmeric and cinnamon before transferring it into spray bottles. The children used a variety of tools, including spoons, paintbrushes, bowls, and different leaves, to explore colour, texture, and creativity on paper. We then added blackberries to create even more beautiful colours. This was a huge hit, and the children thoroughly enjoyed experimenting, exploring, and expressing their creativity.

Happy Friday! βοΈ
What a crazy week we've had! While the schools had to close because of the heat, Bonita's Childminding Services remained open and made sure the children had plenty of opportunities to stay hydrated and keep cool.
We had lots of fun water play and set out a variety of exciting activities for the children to enjoy. They explored frozen ice buckets filled with lemon slices, lime slices, and mint leaves, using all of their senses to investigate the different textures and scents.
The children also loved digging dinosaurs out of blocks of ice using spoons, which kept them busy and engaged for ages! We created ice blocks for the children to paint, watching the ice melt and the colours mix together. By adding flowers, they made their own colourful "potions," encouraging creativity and imaginative play.
Of course, one of the highlights of the week was running through the sprinklers! We also used spray bottles to cool ourselves down and enjoyed dipping our feet in cool water.
Despite the hot weather, we had so much fun staying safe, keeping cool, and making wonderful summer memories together! π¦π

The children took part in a matching game, where they named the sea animals and practised their counting skills. We also worked on creating patterns, using shells and blue pebbles to make simple repeating sequences.
The children created some beautiful paintings by mixing colours and using sponges to print sea animals onto their pictures. Outside, we enjoyed making big bubbles and by mixing water and flower petals, which provided a wonderful sensory experience.
To develop their fine motor skills, the children made lovely pasta necklaces by carefully threading pasta onto string.
