Carla’s Cubs Childminding

🍂 Happy Monday and happy October! 🍂

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on here! There’s been lots happening behind the scenes at Carla’s Cubs, including our graded Ofsted inspection last week. It went really well, and we’re so pleased—we can’t wait to share our grade with you once we’re able to! 🐻🤎

We’ve got a lovely month ahead, with birthdays to celebrate, our Halloween party to look forward to, and lots of opportunities to explore autumn and the changing season. 🎃🍁

Think crunchy leaves, messy play, little discoveries and plenty of learning through play! We can’t wait to share all the October fun with you. 🧡

All About Me – Our Setting Family 🥰

Following on from our All About Me topic, today we’ve been creating a special photo area featuring the children and familiar faces from our setting. 🧸🏡💛

Having these familiar photos available helps the children learn and remember each other’s names and the names of the adults who care for them, supporting their speech, language and communication. 🗣️✨

It also gives every little Cub a lovely sense of belonging – seeing their own face, recognising their friends and knowing, “This is my place too!” 🥹🐻

Next, we’ll be adding photos of the people (and pets! 🐶🐱) who are special to each child, so we can talk together about our families, our homes and the people we love. ❤️📸

🚌✨ We went on the bus! ✨🚌

Today the Cubs went on a little adventure! 🥰 We caught the bus into town, had an absolute blast at soft play 🤸‍♀️🛝 and then hopped back on the bus in time for lunch! 🥪🚌

Such a wonderful morning full of fun, excitement and new experiences! 💛

It’s been a week of new adventures for the Cubs… and we’ve loved every minute! 🐻🌟😍
