I wrote a post. It was too long (TLDR).
Instead here is a valuable quote covering the same ground taken from the incredible Dr. Amy Johnson book 'Just a thought':
=> 'Waking up' rather than 'learning', 'doing' or 'figuring it out' is an option because there is nothing you need that you don't already have.
There is nothing to add, learn, acquire, no willpower or effort needed. Waking up is subtractive.
It's an unlearning - seeing that the thoughts judgements, and opinions that have looked 'you' all this time, aren't.
You are not your experience. You are not who you 'think' you are. (Amy Johnson, PhD 'Just a thought', page 7-8)

Dr Johnson's writing is exceptional at explaining how the mind works. All minds.
The great news is how your mind works is not unique or personal to you, despite what your thinking tells you.
Your operating system might look different to mine, yet we both had a thought powered operating system. This is the key.
I have seen again and again that being subtractive, rather than adding more on, is so helpful to reveal us at our best. Who we are when we cease relying on an outdated operating system of thought from the past and instead rely on ourselves in the moment.
I highly recommend this book to my clients and have gifted it to many people.
The temptation is to tinker with the content of the thoughts.
In my coaching we explore the fact you think, appreciate the idea that you have an operating system and see what is subtracted from there.
