💚 Together, we raised £105!

We are delighted to share that our Macmillan Coffee Morning raised an incredible £105 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, helped and joined us for coffee and cake. Your generosity made the morning a wonderful celebration of community and compassion.

We may be a small school, but together we can make a big difference! 💚

🌾 Celebrating Harvest

On Friday, our school community came together for a beautiful Harvest Liturgy, giving thanks to God for the gifts of creation and reflecting on how we can share those gifts with others.

As we marked CAFOD’s Harvest Family Fast Day, our children helped us to think about our responsibility to care for those facing hunger and hardship around the world.

Through prayer, song and reflection, we were reminded that even small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference.

“The earth has yielded its harvest; God, our God, has blessed us.” Psalm 67:6

We are proud of the thoughtful and compassionate way our children live out our Catholic faith and our school value of stewardship. 💛

☕ We're doing double for charity this harvest fast day! Our lovely Miss Rossall has organised a coffee morning available to all in our community from 7:30am and all morning until our Harvest liturgy at 11am.

🧁So, if you simply want to join us for breakfast before school, or stop for a cuppa and slice of cake before celebration assembly at 8:50am or pop in mid-morning before joining our Harvest celebrations, we can't wait to see you.

📢 Year 6 Bikeability Reminder 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

A reminder to all Year 6 parents that Bikeability training will take place from Monday 19th October to Wednesday 21st October 2026.

If you would like your child to take part, please ensure you sign them up via the MCAS app as soon as possible.

🚲 Bikeability is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their cycling skills, confidence and road safety awareness. 🚲

This week, as we draw near to our CAFOD Harvest Fast Day, we are inviting families to bring in donations for our local food bank. We will display the donated items in our liturgy on Friday morning as we gather to give thanks for the Harvest and turn our prayers for those who are hungry into action.
We would welcome donations to be brought in from Monday.

🕷️🦋🐌 Science in Action! 🐛

Our Year 6 scientists explored the fascinating world of invertebrates by learning how animals can be classified according to their characteristics. The children used their curiosity to investigate what makes worms, snails, spiders and insects different from one another before creating detailed clay models of each animal.

The task encouraged the children to show love for learning and for the natural world as they carefully crafted their models, while resilience was on display as they refined and improved their creations to make them as accurate as possible.

We are impressed with their creativity, scientific thinking and fantastic clay sculptures! 🌟🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

❤️ Some of the best moments in school are the ones we don't even plan for. During morning break time a group of our Year 6 pupils spontaneously decided to lead a game of "duck, duck, goose" for children from every class in the school.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑 These moments are just part of what makes our small school community so uniquely special, and these are the kinds of happy memories that will stay with the children for life.
