If you’re new to the area or haven’t had a chance to explore yet, here is a handy pocket guide to some areas in Manchester and Salford📍
MediaCity - this is a waterfront district and media hub; one of our campuses is also based here. It’s home to the BBC, ITV and plenty of bars and restaurants. You’ll always find a great sunset here too 🌅
Chapel Street - this is the road from main campus into town which has loads of great brunch spots, pubs and food spots. Try out our very own artisan bakery and brunch spot- the Old Fire Station🚒
Northern Quarter- this area is known for its quirky independent shops, bars and cafes. If you love vintage shopping, music and funky decor, this place is for you 💿
Castlefield - this is one of the most historic areas of Manchester. There’s Roman ruins, canals and the popular Castlefield Viaduct garden 🪴
Market Street and the Arndale - this is Manchester’s main shopping district, where you can find all your major high street brands 🛍️
New Islington Marina - this is a modern neighbourhood located near the Northern Quarter. It’s centred around the marina and is next to Ancoats which is home to great food spots and regular makers markets 🍜
Oxford Road- home to lots of food and drink spots and a very busy area with students. Check out Circle Square which has some nice green space and food spots 🌿
