Amazon have removed the final obstacle!
The one reason I never used to order everything from Amazon, was because of the the complicated returns policy…
But now, it’s removed that.
I don’t have to worry about having a printer, I don’t have to worry about keeping the packaging. I don’t have to worry about anything basically…
It’s simple… If I don’t want it just give it back and I’ll get my money back as well.
It’s the second time I’ve done this with Amazon, so it might have been around a long time… But I think this will make life easier for us customers.
I recently used SHEIN for the first time… Once again I was unsure about ordering the right size, the right product and worried about the quality of the product.
But their returns policy was simple and easy for me being able to drop off at a location of my choice.
Maybe Amazon are just reacting to what other companies are doing and I’m slow to notice it… but seeing other retailers provide an easier returns policy, means they are listening to customers are reading my mind!
👍 Either way… It’s a result for us as consumers!
Would be interesting to know if it’s something that everybody’s doing or is it just Amazon and SHEIN?

⚽It’s not often I quote Roy Keane during a digital marketing training session... 💻
…but on this occasion, I did!
We were covering Portfolios… and I shared my usual checklist of what should be inside, which includes :
Core sections:
- Name
- Contact details
- Evidence of work
- Showcase of abilities
But the part people often overlook?
Your PERSONALITY.
Hiring managers and recruiters aren’t just looking at your skills. They want to know whether you’re the right fit... and that’s something a CV alone can’t always communicate.
This is where your portfolio comes in handy.
The template you choose, the visuals, the tone of your introduction… all of these give people a feel for who you are.
And this is where Roy Keane’s analysis comes in.
He constantly talks about the importance of personality, not just ability… when assessing players.
Yes, a different industry… but same principle.
Digital marketing (and most careers) require skills... and the RIGHT personality.

Another 10-week digital marketing cohort completed and what a journey it’s been.
It’s been amazing to watch this group develop their skills, grow in confidence, and start thinking about their next steps in digital marketing, content creation, and AI. The real excitement begins now as they put everything into action.
A huge thank you to Althaus for all their support throughout the programme.
Well done to the whole group… you’ve absolutely smashed it. Onwards and upwards! 🙌

They completed a whole website in 12 minutes and 33 seconds!
As part of their Digital Marketing course, one of the modules is on AI, and one of the activities I enjoy including is building a website using AI.
Well done to my fantastic Althaus Digital Marketing cohort for all contributing to the building of this website, with a little help from Wix!

🗣️- “AI won’t take your job, someone using AI will.”
This is something I repeat to people I train and teach.
I’m not naive enough to think AI won’t have an impact and take some jobs.. but it will be due to technological advancements, in the same way that telephone banking jobs no longer exist.
In short I’m saying we need to use AI in the same way we use other technology. We need to use it to make things quicker and easier to do.
Eg. In the sane way we send an email or WhatsApp rather than post a letter.. or how we use Google Maps rather than get the A to Z out.
So… Keep using it and embrace it, because that genie is out of the bottle!
