๐ŸŒฟ Today in the Baby Room, we focused on gross motor physical development through a range of exciting activities. The children took part in risky play, which helps them build confidence, make choices, assess risks, and develop problem-solving skills in a safe and supportive environment.

By climbing, balancing, exploring, and challenging themselves, the children strengthened their coordination, balance, and overall physical skills while having lots of fun. We are so proud of their determination, resilience, and growing independence! ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿปโ˜• National Teddy Bear Day at Barton Moss โ˜•๐Ÿป

When the teddy bears came to tea, the children at Barton Moss made sure they felt very welcome! We enjoyed hosting a special teddy bears' tea party, using our finest cups and serving lots of delicious treats and snacks.

The children loved sharing stories, practising their manners, and taking part in imaginative play with their furry friends. It was a wonderful way to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day, creating lots of smiles, laughter, and special memories along the way.

๐Ÿป๐ŸŒฒ National Teddy Bear Day at Forest School ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿป

"Weโ€™re going on a bear hunt... weโ€™re going to catch a big one!"

This afternoon, we brought the much-loved story We're Going on a Bear Hunt to life during our Forest School adventure. The children explored different areas of the forest, making their way through long wavy grass, a deep dark forest, thick oozy mud, and even a swirling snowstorm!

As we reached the cave, we carefully tiptoed inside and discovered a bear waiting for us. The excitement inspired the children to become bears themselves, using face masks and showing off their best grizzly bear impressions.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day, encouraging imaginative play, storytelling, exploration, and lots of fun outdoors! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‚

Today a Little Hulton Nursery, our Moon room children have been creating people they know with wooden spoons and craft materials with Steph. They thought very hard about the people that they know, picturing what hair colour they might have and what colours they like to dress in.

They have done such an amazing job!

Can you spot any familiar faces!

๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿš‘ Emergency Services Day at Barton Moss ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿš’

Today, the children at Barton Moss have been learning about the important role that our emergency services and their workers play in keeping us safe.

The children enjoyed painting their own fire engine, dressing up in role-play outfits, and taking part in a variety of emergency services-themed activities. We also talked about the emergency number 999, discussing when it is appropriate to call and how our emergency services help people in different situations.

A fantastic day of learning, creativity, and fun while celebrating the amazing work of our emergency service heroes! โญ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ“šโœจ As a communication-friendly setting, we recognise that every child communicates differently. We offer a range of communication approaches to support each child in expressing themselves in the way that works best for them, including the use of signs, gestures, visual aids, and spoken language. This term, our baby rooms are exploring Dear Zoo, using stories, songs, signing, and engaging activities to encourage communication, language development, and participation for all children. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŽจ A Busy Day for Baby Bears! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’š

Today, our Baby Bears had lots of fun exploring and learning in the garden! We started by painting with paintbrushes, but when we couldn't find enough brushes, we got creative and used our fingers instead. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

The fun continued in the mud kitchen, where we scooped, stirred, mixed, and created some delicious muddy dinners! ๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿƒ

Outdoor play provides the same valuable learning opportunities as indoor activities, helping children develop their creativity, communication skills, physical development, and imagination through hands-on experiences.

We have loved making the most of the great outdoors today!

๐Ÿž The Ladybird Room have been keeping busy in the office today. We're not entirely sure how much work was completed, but there was certainly plenty of enthusiasm, teamwork, and happy faces on display! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Role play is a wonderful way for children to learn, helping to develop their communication skills, confidence, creativity, and understanding of the world around them. Today, our little office workers enjoyed taking on different roles, working together, and using their imaginations while having lots of fun! ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“‹โœจ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒฟ The children have been exploring a jungle-themed sensory activity, using their senses to discover a range of textures such as soil, leaves, grass, and crushed crackers. They also enjoyed finding different animals, learning their names, and exploring the sounds they make. A wonderful hands-on experience that encourages curiosity and sensory development! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿโœจ

๐ŸŒŸ Our Ladybird Room children have been helping to tidy up and care for their environment. Learning to clean up after play is a valuable life skill that teaches responsibility and helps us look after our toys and resources. Well done, Ladybirds! ๐Ÿžโœจ
