After 3 years of living out this dream, the time has come for a change. I am so eternally grateful for every single family that has come through our doors and made Play Days with B a reality. Each child we've cared for here will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Thankyou for everyone's support and encouragement throughout this journey. 💕

Now to enjoy the fun for the rest of the day, and ofcourse the cake!, before some tear-filled goodbyes this evening. And looking forward to the future 😍

That stress-free, sleep easy feeling 🥰

I know I haven't posted here since the new year, but I can now finally share the secret I was having to keep until now.
Early in the new year (5 months earlier than expected) I got the phone call for my very first graded Ofsted Inspection.
With a totally brand new group of children still all settling in, and the inspector coming on my busiest day of the week, it's safe to say I was nervous!

But ofcourse my little cherubs did me so proud, and I'm over the moon to finally be able to share with everyone that we have been graded a "GOOD" setting.

To some, this might mean nothing, but with the inspector expressing how difficult achieving this grade now is, and with only receiving 1 recommendation from my inspection... it's meant the world and more to me!

HELLO 2023!!! 🎉🎊

Myself and MrC are very excited to begin our third year of Play Days with B and for all of the exciting things we have planned ahead of us.
We'll be welcoming some new faces in the coming weeks as our playdays family expands and you'll continue to see our journeys of fun and learning.

There are now veryyyy limited spaces remaining for childcare in 2023, but do get in touch with enquiries as you could strike lucky with days, or have the option to be added to the waiting list as positions can change at any time.

I'd finally like to say a big THANKYOU to every single person who has supported this journey so far. From the families who have had their children placed here previously, and have moved on, to the families still within our playdays group, and even to the supporters who like and share my content and recommend my setting. I am so appreciative for every single show of support, and I hope you enjoy seeing our adventures of 2023 alongside us ❤️🐝

I realised that with the influx on enquiries regarding my christmas "No deposit charge" deal that I announced the other day, I completely forgot to share this week's wanderlust topic!

Week 2 of the winter theme is "Hibernation". Weve been singing a new song about hibernation and reading stories about sleepy bears, hedgehogs and their long winter nap!

📣 *IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING NEW SPACES* 📣

2022 has been a financially difficult year for so many families, and with Christmas now upon us (and the cost of living continuing to rise) times feel harder than ever, I'm sure most will agree!

I've spoke to many families previously who all share similar concerns; that childcare for their little ones is becoming so expensive. Along with their household bills increasing, their nursery costs are rising yearly too.

Well, I want to do my part to help this Christmas.
Firstly, sharing with you some readily available financial childcare support available out there, and secondly, what Play Days with B is doing to help the cost of childcare this Christmas.

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT TOWARDS CHILDCARE COSTS:
1) families who receive universal credit support can be eligible for up 85% contibution towards their childcare costs.
2) families who are considered low income households, or some whos children have additional needs, may be eligible to receive 15hrs (per term time week) worth of funding towards their childcare costs, accessible from the term following the child's second birthday
3) all 3 year old are entitled to access 15hrs of funded childcare per term time week, children of working parents who earn over a threshold amount, may be eligible to access 30 hours of funding. These hours are based on term time only use, however, you can spread the total hours to cover the whole year if arranged with your provider.
4) the "childcare choices tax free scheme" is available to families who are not entitled to the 85% universal credit support scheme and allows parents to claim 20% of their childcare cost from the government. This can also be used alongside funded hours spaces to help towards the extra costs outside of the funding allocation.

Some settings may not accept, limit the availability, or are not registered to accept some or all of these support options. But Play Days with B is accepting of each of these financial support options and hopes to help make childcare affordable for all families.

PLAY DAYS EXTRA STEPS TO HELP
1) Play Days with B promises no annual price increase from now into the 2023 year and will maintain the current childcare rate throughout the 2023 year.
2) to help at Christmas time, throughout the month of December, i will be wavering the deposit amount that would usually apply to new sign ups, for all positions that are signed to start in January or February of 2023
(This could save you over £200 on your start up costs!)

This week brings us around to the first week of our winter wanderlust nature season, and the topic this week is "Winter Trees"
We'll be talking about the tree's on our outdoor walks, recognising the changes and seeking signs of winter.
Our topic story book this week will be Julia Donaldsons "Stick Man" a group favourite!

Very fitting for the events of this weekend, our wanderlust topic this week is "fire" 🔥🔥
We'll be talking fire safety, and all about fireworks and bonfires. I love the crafts associated with bonfire night and can't wait to get creative with the littles this week.
