The Friends of Lime Tree Academy (or FoLT, as its affectionally called!) was set up in 2010 and updated by the Officers of the Committee. We use the page to publicise and promote events which help to raise money for the school. The Friends of Lime Tree alternate day and evening meetings to meet the needs of all the parents on the committee. We always welcome any new members to help us plan exciting things for the children to do, whilst raising funds! We currently have, mums, dads, grandparents and members of the community who come and help us so we're open to all (especially if you bring cake!) We don't have many rules, just a couple of things to request of our 'likers'
1. Please remember, FoLT are not employees of the school but we do represent them on a public site. All postings, especially negative views will reflect on the school. Pages are open to all and posts can be viewed by anyone. On very rare occasions, we may need to moderate and remove (if necessary) anything which could bring the school into question. We politely ask that any school issues or complaints are taken into school and discussed there, rather than on here as pages are open and can viewed by anyone.
2. We welcome parents postings and sharing information and advice however, we don't allow people to 'buy and sell' on their posts. There is a seperate Lime Tree uniform group for parents who may wish to sell uniform and or other things to parents. About us
If you want to know more about us or have any questions or queries, you can email us directly on the page. How to help! If you want to help your school and the children, there's lots of ways!
1. Come to meetings and help us to plan events and activities
2. If you can't come to meetings but can lend a hand at out events selling drinks or foods etc we are always greatful for what ever you can spare!
3. Help raise funds for us by doing your online shopping and registering at easyfundraising.com (Friends of Lime Tree, Sale) The shops donate everytime you make a purchase and help us raise money for nothing! The committee works very hard to raise money to buy things to benefit all the children in the school. This year we want to raise even more so please please support us however you can. As Tesco says, Every Little Helps! We are always looking for good contacts or parents with useful skills so if you can juggle or spin plates, you could be just what we are looking for haha! Failing that, if you have any IT, design or just good contacts with useful organisations we would lobe to hear from you. Match Funding
Match funding is where a large corperate organisation will match fund an event where we fundraise. So, for e.g. if we raised a thousand pounds at a summer fair, the company would also donate a thousand pounds doubling our profit! If you can help, please let us know. Ask you company's HR Dept. if you are not sure if they match fund.
