A large roll of paper. A handful of resources. And then, watch what happens.

When children have space to create without a predetermined outcome, something shifts. There's no 'right way' to do it. No step-by-step instructions. Just possibility. A child might draw, paint, build, experiment, scribble, create something entirely their own. They're not following a template, they're following their own ideas, their own curiosity, their own vision.

That freedom matters. It's where real creativity lives. Where children learn to trust their own thinking. Where they discover what they're capable of. Where a simple roll of paper becomes a canvas for imagination, confidence, and self-expression.

At Mulberry House, we believe children learn best when they're given the space to explore and create freely.

That's what builds confidence. That's what builds thinkers. ๐ŸŒฟ

Finding the right nursery means finding a place that truly sees your child. โœจ

At Mulberry House, we've created something different. Our outdoor spaces aren't just somewhere children play, they're at the heart of how we learn. Every day, your child explores, discovers, and grows through the natural world around them. Rain, earth, trees, nature becomes the curriculum.

We're embedded in our community too. Real partnerships with local families and spaces mean your child isn't just learning in a bubble, they're part of a wider world. They connect. They contribute. They understand what it means to belong.

What sets us apart is how we weave it all together. Your child is genuinely known here. Their voice matters. Learning happens organically through play, curiosity, and meaningful relationships, not because it's on a plan, but because it's who we are.

Mulberry House. Where outdoor exploration, community connection, and genuine relationships grow confident, capable children. ๐ŸŒฟ

Our Eco Committee have been busy! ๐Ÿ’š

They rolled up their sleeves and took to the local community with litter pickers in hand! What might look like a simple activity is actually something profound: children learning that they belong to something bigger. โœจ

When children participate in environmental care from an early age, they're not just picking up litter. They're developing a sense of agency, the understanding that their actions matter. They're learning empathy for the world around them. They're building citizenship and responsibility that will shape how they move through life.

Sustainability isn't a topic we teach about at Mulberry House. It's woven through everything we do, from how we use resources, to the conversations we have, to moments like these where children see themselves as stewards of their community.

If you're looking for a setting where your child doesn't just learn about values, but lives them every day, we'd love to meet you. Get in touch to arrange a viewing and come and see for yourself. ๐ŸŒฟ

Our outdoor space isn't just a garden. It's where learning comes alive in ways that can't happen indoors. โœจ

Here, children build grand structures, test engineering ideas, and discover what's possible when they have time, space and real materials. They connect with nature, digging, planting, observing the seasons changing. They find quiet corners to lose themselves in a story, or settle with a friend when they need calm.

Some days are about bold exploration. Some days are about rest. Some days are about discovering something completely unexpected.

Outdoor play isn't a break from learning. It's where some of the most powerful learning happens. Children develop resilience, independence, creativity and confidence in ways that matter. They build friendships. They become problem-solvers. They learn that they're capable.

At Mulberry House, we don't just go outside. We learn there.

Your child will too. ๐ŸŒฟ

Graduation 2026 ๐ŸŽ“

What an honour to celebrate our children stepping confidently into their next chapter. ๐Ÿ’™

But graduation is about so much more than a milestone.

โœจ Recognising who they've become.ย

โœจ The courage they've discovered.ย

โœจ The bonds they've formed.ย

โœจ The independence and resilience woven into who they are.

As they move forward to school, they carry these gifts with them. They know how to feel safe in new spaces. How to take chances. How to bounce back.

Because they've been truly known by adults who saw their potential.

That foundation opens doors. ๐Ÿ’›

Thank you to our families and to Sarah and the Mulberry House team for making this day unforgettable.

We can't wait to follow their journeys ๐Ÿค—

โœจ Experienced practitioners.

โœจ Indoor and outdoor spaces designed for real learning.

It all means your child isn't just cared for, they're understood.

Come and meet us. Book a visit and see what we're about. ๐ŸŒฟ

Curiosity thrives when children lead ๐Ÿ’š

At Mulberry House, our curriculum isn't written in advance and handed down. It's co-created, built alongside the children, shaped by what they're curious about, and brought to life both inside and outside.

Our team watches closely. We notice when a child's eyes light up. We see the questions they're asking, the problems they're solving, the connections they're making. And we build on those moments.

๐ŸŒฟ A child fascinated by insects becomes an explorer in the garden.

๐ŸŒฟ A group wondering how water moves becomes engineers with gutters and funnels.

๐ŸŒฟ A child captivated by colour becomes an artist mixing and experimenting.

Creativity doesn't happen by accident. It happens when adults notice what children are drawn to and then create space, indoors and outdoors, for that curiosity to flourish.

Our outdoor spaces aren't just playgrounds. They're extensions of the classroom, bursting with possibility. Natural materials, open-ended resources, room to move, room to think.

Inside, the same principle applies: spaces designed around what children are discovering, not what we've decided they should learn.

When children lead their own learning, something shifts. They become investigators, creators, problem-solvers. They develop confidence because they're following their own questions. They build resilience because they're learning to try, fail, adjust and try again.

That's co-creation. That's where real curiosity grows. โœจ

Learning doesn't always look like learning... and that's exactly how it should be. ๐ŸŒธ

Recently at Mulberry House, our children have been developing their mathematical understanding through a beautiful nature-inspired number and quantity activity.

Using wooden log slices, the children selected a number, recognised the numeral, and carefully counted out the matching number of flowers and leaves. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒผ

While this looked like a simple, hands-on activity, it was supporting so many important early maths skills. The children were strengthening their number recognition, developing one-to-one correspondence, matching numerals to quantities, and building confidence in counting, all through playful, meaningful exploration.

Activities like these encourage children to think independently, solve problems and develop a positive relationship with mathematics from an early age. By bringing learning to life through natural resources and seasonal themes, we inspire curiosity and make every experience engaging and memorable.

โœจ Because when learning feels joyful, confidence grows too.

From pasture to pint... ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿฅ›

Some of the most meaningful learning begins with a simple question: "Where does milk come from?"

Our Preschool children have been exploring this through a wonderful farm-themed water tray, where curiosity led the way. As they measured and poured milk-coloured water, filled and emptied cartons, and cared for the cattle in their small-world play, they were discovering far more than just how milk reaches our tables.

Along the way, they strengthened their fine motor skills, explored early mathematical concepts through measuring and capacity, and developed their communication skills by sharing ideas, asking questions, and working together.

It may have looked like water play, but every pour, every conversation, and every discovery was helping to build confident, curious learners with a growing understanding of the world around them. ๐ŸŒฟ

Learning Through Play ๐ŸŒพ

Our preschool children have been busy creating their very own farm, complete with animal pens, shelters and fields.

As they built and explored, they discovered the role of different farm animals, talked about growing crops, learned about the important job farmers do, and recognised how vehicles like tractors help keep a farm running.

Using blocks to design safe enclosures, the children strengthened their fine motor skills while demonstrating impressive problem-solving and critical thinking as they created opening gates and protective shelters for their animals.

What looked like imaginative play was also rich in learning, helping children develop new vocabulary, deepen their understanding of the world around them, and bring their ideas to life through creativity and collaboration.

Because some of the most valuable learning begins with imagination. ๐ŸŒฟ
