Working together, they developed teamwork, communication, problem-solving and concentration skills, all through a fun, hands-on experiment!

Who says maths has to be all about worksheets?

One of our young people has been enjoying a fun, hands-on activity using pasta and threading to develop maths skills, counting, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and concentration!

At Keane Futures, we understand that young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) can benefit from practical, sensory-based learning experiences.

Activities like these help make learning more engaging, accessible and enjoyable, while building confidence, independence and important everyday skills.

One of our young people has been getting creative during hairdressing sessions, learning some fantastic new skills, including beautiful updos and French braids!

Hairdressing is so much more than just styling hair! These sessions are a brilliant opportunity to develop creativity, patience, concentration, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail, all while building confidence and self-esteem.

Learning practical skills like these can also open doors to future opportunities, whether that’s pursuing a career in hair and beauty, helping friends and family, or simply discovering a new passion!

Every new skill learned is another step towards a brighter future!

🎹 A little moment of magic in the shopping centre…

One of our talented young people at Keane Futures recently took to the piano in the local shopping centre… and what a beautiful moment it was!

Playing with confidence and real passion, their music quickly caught the attention of passers-by. People stopped to listen, smiled, complimented their playing and took a moment out of their day to enjoy the music.

It was wonderful to see their talent not only shine, but also bring a little joy to everyone around them.

We’re incredibly proud of them for sharing their talent with the community and showing just what young people can achieve when they’re given the opportunity to express themselves.
