What great news to start the school year! 🥰

We're delighted to share some exciting news as we return for a new school year...💚🙌

Following our Ofsted inspection in June, we are incredibly proud to have been recognised for the exceptional experiences our children receive every day. Inspectors praised the "exceptional care, support and expertise" of our staff and, in a wholesome statement, noted that our pupils "simply love coming to school."🥹

In a report filled with positive feedback, our Attendance and Behaviour were judged 'Exceptional' – the highest possible grading awarded to only 2% of schools nationally. This achievement is a testament to our incredible children and the families who support them every step of the way. Thank you for being part of our success story.

The report also celebrates pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, the strong outcomes achieved by pupils, and the expert support provided to children who need additional help, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

This recognition belongs to all of us. To our wonderful children who make us proud every day, to our dedicated staff, to our supportive families, and to everyone who plays a part in our school community- we say an enormous THANK YOU!💚

We have always believed that Lostwithiel is a very special place, and it means so much to see that reflected in this report.

From trainee to teacher!

Congratulations to Katie, who has successfully completed her teacher training with CELT and secured her first teaching role at Newquay Tretherras, where she will be teaching Religious Education and A Level Politics from September.

Katie's journey is a fantastic example of how teacher training can open the door to a rewarding career, helping young people develop their knowledge, critical thinking and understanding of the world around them. We're proud to see her take this exciting next step.

Today, we're incredibly proud of every student across CELT's five secondary schools as more than 1,000 young people receive their GCSE results 👏👏👏

Across our schools, students achieved thousands of qualifications, with strong outcomes in English, Maths and a wide range of subjects. There were hundreds of the highest grades awarded, alongside countless individual success stories that deserve to be celebrated.

We're especially proud of the progress made by students. We are grateful to the families, teachers and support staff who have encouraged and supported them every step of the way.

Whether students achieved the grades they hoped for, overcame personal challenges, secured their next step or simply gave their very best effort, today is about celebrating them all.

Congratulations to every student across Brannel School, Bodmin College, Newquay Tretherras, Penrice Academy and Poltair School.
