And just like that… we’re BACK! ❤️

After the summer hols, it was sooo lovely to have all of our fantastic children back today! 🥰

Here’s a little snippet of what we’ve been up to already!

And check out our new Year 6 looking SO smart in their ties! We love seeing everyone looking smart, feeling proud of their uniform and proud to be part of St Mabyn!

We’ve such a busy September coming up… lots to look forward to!! 😊

Well… that’s a wrap!

Today we waved off our brilliant Year 6s! We’re so proud of you all and can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes you.

💧 H₂Oh! 💧

Today, Class 2 became marketing experts!

Our challenge? Create and market our own infused water. We carried out market research, taste testing, designed our branding, came up with jingles, TV adverts and billboards, then pitched our products Dragons’ Den stylee!!

The flavour combinations were WILD… fruity favourites, botanical infusions with mint and basil, warming cinnamon and ginger and loads more. We definitely got through a lot of taste testing today! 😂

Such a fun DT project, brilliant teamwork and so many amazing ideas. We loved it! 💙

From gorge walking… to surfing! 🌊🏄

Today we spent the whole day at Polzeath… what a day!!

Surfing, beach games, paddling, digging, splashing and just having the BEST time together! 🌊☀️ (these were the only photos we took because we were just having too much fun!!!)

Huge thank you to all of the grown ups who came with us and helped make today happen. We loved every minute! 💙

🇪🇸 KS2 Spanish Day 🇪🇸

¡Qué día tan divertido!

Today we had the best time exploring Spanish food, music and language as part of our MFL curriculum!

We tasted jamón Serrano, chorizo, Manchego, pan and olives, listened to Spanish music from traditional classics to modern hits, and even learnt the Bob Esponja theme tune in Spanish 🎶😂

We learnt about ingredients like leche de oveja, discovered how paprika gives chorizo its colour and explored traditional Andalucian food.

Summer Reading Challenge launch! 📚

Eeek… we were SO excited today! We launched the Summer Reading Challenge with our friends at Wadebridge Library/Cornwall Council Libraries Cornwall Council Wadebridge Library and Information Service

The children were sooo excited to get started and we’ve already picked up our first books for the challenge!!

A huge thank you to Wadebridge Library for helping us get the children inspired and ready for a summer full of reading! 💛
