🍼✨ Exciting News – A Brand-New Baby Room is Coming to Early Learners Sutton! ✨🍼


We are incredibly excited to share some wonderful news with you – Early Learners Sutton is growing! 💛

This September, work will begin on an exciting refurbishment project which will transform a currently unused area of our nursery into a beautiful, spacious, purpose-designed new baby classroom!

Our brand-new baby room will provide our youngest children with even more space to play, explore, learn, rest and grow, with carefully designed areas dedicated to play and learning, peaceful sleep and mealtimes.

As part of the transformation, the room will also be filled with a fantastic range of brand-new furniture, toys, equipment and age-appropriate resources, creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment specifically designed around the needs of babies.

Even more excitingly, this development will allow us to double the number of childcare places available at Early Learners Sutton, meaning we will be able to welcome even more little ones and their families into our Early Learners community. 🌟

🛠️ When will the work begin?

The refurbishment is due to commence on Monday 7th September and will be completed by Midas Construction, who have worked alongside Early Learners Nurseries on a number of projects over many years.

The safety and wellbeing of our children will, as always, remain our highest priority throughout the project. All contractors working on site have the appropriate, up-to-date suitability checks in place. Contractors will have their own separate entrance and working area and will remain completely separate from the children throughout the works.

Our nursery will continue to operate as normal and childcare will be unaffected.

We can't wait to watch the transformation take place and, of course, we will keep you updated along the way with progress and sneak peeks before the big reveal! 👀✨

🌱 Our Toddler Week of Learning & Fun! 🐘🎨

This week has been full of exciting, hands-on experiences for our toddlers! 💛

🌿 Compost Heap Fun
We explored the compost heap using cocoa powder, crushed cereal and vegetables. The children enjoyed scooping, mixing and investigating different textures. 🥕🍫🥣

🍫 Chocolate Playdough
Our little learners got creative with chocolate-scented playdough, using a variety of playdough tools and shapes to squish, roll, cut and create! ✨🔪⭕️

🎨 Mark Making with Paint
We explored early mark-making skills by using paint on cardboard. The children experimented with lines, dots, swirls and different movements. 🖌️🖍️

🐘 Elephant Day!
We had lots of fun celebrating Elephant Day, learning about these amazing animals through playful activities and creative exploration. 🐘💙

🌳 Outdoor Mark Making
Taking our learning outside, we used pencils to make marks on cardboard. The fresh air and open space gave us lots of opportunities to explore movement, creativity and early writing skills. ✏️☀️

🌿🐒 What a wonderful week of exploring in our Baby Room! 💕

This week, we have enjoyed exploring our jungle song tuff tray, discovering reflections in our reflection tray, investigating different textures in our sensory tray and getting stuck into our taste-safe farm. 🐯🪞🖐️🐄

Our babies have been busy using their senses, developing curiosity, exploring new experiences and learning through play. 🌈✨

It has been lovely to watch their little faces light up as they discovered, explored and enjoyed each experience! 💕👶

What a wonderful week of learning, creativity and imagination we’ve had! 💛✨

🎨 Shadow Drawing – We explored shapes, light and shadows while creating our own wonderful drawings. ☀️🖍️

🌿 Nature Painting – We got creative using inspiration from the beautiful world around us, experimenting with colours and textures. 🎨🍃

🍓 Strawberry Picking Role Play – Our imaginations came alive as we pretended to pick strawberries and worked together in our own little strawberry patch! 🍓🧺

✍️ Penmanship Practice – We’ve been developing our pencil control and practising our early writing skills. 📝💪

👐 Sensory Messy Tray – Lots of exploring, touching and discovering as we enjoyed a wonderfully messy sensory experience! 🌈✨

🏠 Home Corner Imagination – We used our imaginations to create stories, act out familiar experiences and develop our communication and social skills through role play. 👨‍🍳👩‍👧🏡

💫 So many opportunities to learn through play, explore our senses and let our imaginations grow!
