Wow such an emotional day. 😢 Saying goodbye to the mini professors and their grown ups is the week I have been dreading. I didn’t sleep much last night as I knew it was the last class and I won’t see you as usual next week.
I can’t thank you enough for all your support, your very kind gifts and your words brought me to tears again at home reading your cards.
I’ve never thought of myself as a ‘visionary woman’, but I’m flattered ( thank you Jane) ❤️ all I wanted to do was help and support families in the local community and the Wow Group AND the venues I used have provided a great opportunity for me to do that. The Wow Children’s programmes brought so much joy to parents and children but also to myself. There is no better feeling of going home after a busy and often tiring day but feeling like ‘ I did something good today’.
Baby sensory was very special but Mini Professors held a special place in my heart. Helping to inspire children -our future, to learn about their world and help settle them towards school, no other job will ever give me the satisfaction and joy of hearing young children say ‘wow’ so enthusiastically, their little faces light up and squeal with joy because of what they have just experienced or enjoyed doing. I’m going to miss you all SO much. Thursday and Friday will never be the same again and that makes me sad because I know what the kids will miss out on and they may not even realise it yet.❤️
It’s been the hardest decision to not renew the MP franchise at this moment, but I understand that these are not normal times. Every penny is squeezed and that unfortunately affects children indirectly. For that I am angry. Let’s hope things improve for everyone as I would love to see you all again in the future and you may see me pop into Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense as Regional coordinator.
Support small business were you can.
But let’s enjoy the memories, the photos, and no doubt the little things the children will say in the future about what they learned at Mini Professors and above all let’s keep in touch.
I want to know how the children are doing please and to the grown ups a MASSIVE thank you for trusting me through all the years and becoming friends along this journey. You are all amazing parents and carers and classes wouldn’t have been the same without you seeing the benefits and enjoying it together with your children. Quality time indeed❤️
I’ll miss you all but here is to all our future fantastic women and men scientists, leaders, doctors, nurses, consultants, developers, engineers, tech specialists, teachers and all round STEM professionals 💕
Go on, be visionary and be awesome and inspiring in your own way ⭐️
Lots of love Prof Loraine xx😘❤️
