1️⃣ Whether they actually understand the question — or they’re writing everything they know and hoping something hits the mark.

2️⃣ Whether they’re analysing or just explaining — this is one of the biggest things holding students back from the higher grades.

3️⃣ Whether they know how to develop an idea — because more writing doesn’t necessarily mean more marks.

And here’s the important bit…

These aren’t things your child is simply “good” or “bad” at.

They’re skills.

And skills can be taught. 🎯

Sometimes a student doesn’t need to work harder — they need someone to show them exactly what the examiner is looking for.

That’s where I come in.

Tuition doesn’t have to start when your child is already struggling. By starting in September, you can help them keep up, build confidence and stay ahead, one topic at a time. ✏️
Message me to find out what spaces I have left for this September.

But the words that mean the most to me?

“She gets my child.”

Because tutoring isn’t just about knowing the GCSE specification.

It’s about knowing when to push.
When to explain something differently.
When confidence needs building before grades can improve.
And when a teenager simply needs someone to say, “You CAN do this.”

I don’t want my students to dread English.

I want them to walk into their exams thinking:

“I know what I’m doing.”

And that confidence can change everything. 💛

📩 I currently have a small number of spaces available in my GCSE English groups for September. Message me ENGLISH if you’d like details.

📚 **SEPTEMBER TUITION AVAILABILITY**

With the new school year almost here, I now have just a handful of spaces remaining in my small-group classes:

💜 **Monday – GCSE English Literature (AQA)**
💻 Online | **3 spaces left**

🩵 **Tuesday – KS3 English**
💻 Online | **4 spaces left**

💙 **Wednesday – KS3 Maths**
🏡 Face-to-face | **2 spaces left**

My classes are deliberately kept small so that students receive plenty of individual attention, support and feedback — while still benefiting from learning alongside others.

Perfect for students who need to build confidence, strengthen their skills and start the new school year feeling more prepared.

⚠️ Once these spaces are filled, the classes will close to new students.

Message me “SPACE” if you'd like more information or would like to secure a place for September.

But nobody has actually shown them:

How to turn a quote into analysis.

How to structure a Grade 5+ paragraph.

How to answer the question properly.

How long to spend on each section.

More revision isn’t always the answer. Better strategy is.

GCSE RESULTS DAY IS HERE! 🎉📚

First of all — well done. You got through it. ❤️

But what if your GCSE English result isn’t what you were hoping for?

DON’T PANIC.

👉 Check your marks carefully.
👉 If you’re close to the next grade boundary, speak to your school about your options.
👉 Didn’t get the English Language grade you need? There are still routes forward.

And parents — today, before talking about resits, remarks or college places, tell them:

“I’m proud of you.” ❤️

One grade does not decide their future.

If you’re unsure what your child’s English result means or what to do next, drop your question below and I’ll help. 👇

But after years of teaching and marking GCSE English exams, I’ve learned that this is rarely the whole story.

More often than not, students haven’t been shown:
📖 How to break down a question.
🖊️ How to structure a response.
🎯 What examiners are actually rewarding.

When those skills improve, confidence usually follows. And when confidence grows, students often begin achieving grades they didn’t think were possible.

A current grade is just that—current. It doesn’t have to define where your child finishes.

If your child has ever said, “I’m just not good at English,” let this be your reminder not to let that become part of their identity.

💬 I’d love to know: What’s one thing your child finds hardest about GCSE English?
