🎉🥳 Birthday Celebrations at Carr Mill 🥳🎉
One of our favourite traditions is celebrating birthdays, and we're delighted that children can continue to come to school wearing their own clothes on their special day! 🎈🎁🎂
As part of the new Government guidance on allergy management and anaphylaxis in schools, we are no longer able to accept birthday cakes, sweets or other treats for children to share with their classmates.
We know sharing a birthday treat has been a long-standing tradition, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this change to help keep all of our children safe.
So, whilst the cakes and sweets are staying at home, the birthday smiles, celebrations and birthday clothes will continue! 💙🎉

🥪💙 A Quick Packed Lunch Reminder 💙🥪
As you're getting everything ready for the new school year and planning packed lunches for next week, we'd like to remind everyone that Carr Mill is a nut aware school. 🌰🚫
To help us keep all of our children safe, we kindly ask that parents and carers do not send nut-containing products into school.
This includes:
🥜 Packets of nuts
🥜 Peanut butter
🥜 Nut-based snack bars
🥜 Chocolate spreads containing nuts

Have you started ticking off your bingo board yet? We can't wait to see what treasures you bring in to help us grow our OPAL play resources! 🌿🛞🧱⚽
Remember, all items need to be brought into school on Friday 11th September. The class that collects the most items will win a fantastic prize, and don't forget... bonus points will be awarded for any extra OPAL donations too! 🏆⭐
Keep hunting, keep collecting and let's see which class will be crowned our Bring It In Bingo Champions! 🤩

🏫💙 Back to School Practice Run 💙🏫
After six weeks of summer holidays, we know that returning to school can feel like a big step for some children.
That's why we're opening our playground on Tuesday 1st September, from 8:30am–10:30am, for our Back to School Practice Run. 😊
This is a chance for children and families to pop in, see familiar faces, walk through the morning routine and help everyone feel calm, confident and ready for the first day back.

We can't wait to see all of our children and families when school reopens on Wednesday 2nd September 2026. 😊

An update on our Bring-It-In Bingo Challenge:
ln order for us to manage the items that come in and assign them to classes we are asking that items are brought in on Friday 11th September only. We will open the school gates on this day from 8.30 am and ask that you pop your items into the pile for your child's class. The gates will be open until 11.30am.

One final post. One incredible school. ❤️

As we close another amazing year at Carr Mill, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. To our children, families, staff, governors and wider community – thank you for your unwavering support. Together, you have helped make a real difference to the people who matter most... our children. 💙

What a year it has been! From unforgettable memories and wonderful achievements to national recognition and award wins, we couldn't be prouder of everything we've accomplished together. The St Helens Pride of St Helens Award might say School of the Year, but we know it's a community award - it's in recognition of this amazing community. 🏆✨

These final photos and videos capture everything that makes Carr Mill so special – smiling faces, friendships, happy memories and a community that always pulls together. We are incredibly proud of every single child and every member of our school family. 🌟

To those moving on to new adventures, we wish you every success and happiness for the future. To everyone returning in September, we can't wait to welcome you back and make even more amazing memories together.
