In the baby room lately, we've been getting creative with our mark-making activities! Instead of sticking to just the usual paintbrush, we've been exploring all sorts of fun tools. We even tried something new by using toy cars to make marks. It was so exciting to see the little ones roll the cars in paint and then across their paper, leaving behind colourful tracks. 🚗🎨

Tweenies and Pre-school have had lots of exciting activities out based on our monthly theme "vehicles and transport"! We had to find different types of vehicles that were hiding under different colour tissue paper in our tray. We also got creative and created our own traffic lights using red, green and orange cubes of card to glue on to our traffic lights. . We then took our indoor learning outside and had our very own car wash using foam, cars, sponges and cloths. Then to end our very fun filled day we used different tools to break out our trains and cars that were frozen in ice. Well done Tweenies and Pre-school -Danielle and Lydia xx

Today in Toddler room, we have been looking at how we feel, we had sticky faces with expressions on, making pictures and pulling faces to match our sticker, , we all had fun looking at each other pulling funny faces. we all decided we where happy and our favourite sticker was the smiley face. We read the stories, 'I feel Happy' and 'i feel angry', we looked at the pictures, enjoying the story

Tweenies and Pre-School have really enjoyed our habitat topic this month, during this topic we learnt a lot about bees 🪲. To round up all of our learning over the month we had a super exciting visit from some bee keepers. During this visit we got to learn all about the different types of bees, all about the Queen Bee and the special jobs they do. We got to learn about how they help make all different foods including some of our favourites such as pears 🍐and strawberries 🍓. We got to listen to all our friends tell us what they like to put honey🍯 on such as fruit, cereal and pancakes 🥞. We was very lucky to be able to look at a real hive with honeycomb in. We got to have a go at rolling up the bees wax to make some candles 🕯.

In the toddler room we have been celebrating watermelon day! The toddlers have enjoyed getting creative with decorating their own watermelons and also using sponges to mark make watermelons. As well as this, they have had lots of fun exploring the different watermelon themed tuff trays set up around the room. During the day the toddlers enjoyed talking about watermelons and their yummy taste! 🍉

Marine Week
In the baby room this week, we've been diving into Marine Week! It's been a blast exploring all things ocean-related with the little ones. From crafting colourful jellyfish and rainbow fish to making sea creatures with handprints, we've had a whale of a time getting creative. Our sensory activities have been a hit too, with trays filled with gloop, shredded paper, crushed biscuits, and cotton wool to represent different habitats and the creatures that call them home. It's been wonderful to see the children playing together, sharing, and making sea animal sounds. And of course, we've had some fin-tastic music and movement sessions singing all our favourite sea-themed songs like Baby Shark! 🦈
