Snap general elections demand rapid responses on education projects: we're delighted to be working with St Joseph's College (Croydon, 16-19 May) and Hope Academy (St Helen's 23-26 May) to help pupils host, moderate and broadcast their own livestreamed general election debates with real candidates in their own local constituencies.

We still have space for one final debate in the week beginning 29 May. It's half-term in England (ideal for a holiday project with non-exam pupils; we're working with Y9s and Y10s in Croydon and St Helen's), and the final week of SQA exams in Scotland (so ideal for 20-30 S1-3 pupils as an 'activity week', or for S4-6s who've already finished exams).

We'll also be launching a crowd-funding campaign on Monday to help cover costs, which may enable us to waive some or all of the suggested contribution, dependent on your school or community group's circumstances.

Delighted to present our first collaboration with the Arcola Theatre, the first of 7 "Overture" films which give insights into the forthcoming opera season at the theatre.

We're hoping to produce a lot more films like this with partners across the UK and around the world over the next few years; do leave us a comment to let us know what you think of this approach to helping audiences See, Hear and Discover new works and, for many, what will be an unfamiliar artform. |

We've been fixing up interviews today for our first podcast, on National Anthems. We'll be looking at 'Flower of Scotland' for St Andrews Day (November 30), and talking to rugby journalist David Ferguson, SNP MP Calum Kerr, Conservative MSP Liz Smith and folk musician Bob Murray.

Of course, 'Flower of Scotland' is not the official anthem of Scotland; other contenders include 'Scots Wha Hae', 'A Man's a Man For a' That' and 'Highland Cathedral' ... what do you think the anthem should be?
