🏐 Senior Girls Volleyball – First Matches of the Season! 🏐
Our Senior Girls Volleyball team played their first two matches of the season this week. With a newly formed team and several new members joining this year, the girls played incredibly well against some experienced opposition.
In their first match against the University of Cumbria, the girls achieved a very respectable score. Although Cumbria took the win this time, it was fantastic to see the team grow in confidence as the match progressed. They became much more assured in their positions and began to show the team play and ability that I know they are capable of.
That confidence really showed in their second game against Carlisle Ladies, with the girls taking a brilliant 25–23 victory!
It was a hard-fought match, and I was so proud of the way they battled for every ball, supported each other and set up some fantastic attacks.
🌟 Player of the Match was Sofia, who has improved so much this year and produced some perfect sets for our hitters.
👏 A big shout-out also goes to our Captain, Sasha, who kept the team morale high throughout both games and encouraged everyone from start to finish.
A fantastic start to the season with so much potential still to come. Well done, girls, we are very proud of you all! 🏐💪
