π Student Success! π
Congratulations to former Penrice Academy student, Summer, who has secured a place at the University of Exeter to study an Integrated Masters in Nursing.
After leaving Penrice, Summer studied a BTEC in Applied Science at Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form, achieving an outstanding Distinction Distinction Distinction***.
Speaking about her future aspirations, Summer said: "I want to focus on adult and mental health nursing in the future. I chose to study at the sixth form at NT because it felt very supportive, there was lots of 1-to-1 help and it had a nice community vibe."
We are incredibly proud of everything Summer has achieved through her hard work, dedication and determination. We wish her every success as she begins this exciting new chapter and pursues a career making a difference to the lives of others.
Well done, Summer! π

Penrice Fest 2026!
A fantastic afternoon for our Top 50 Merit earners in each year group, plus 10 special Head of Year choices.
Students were treated to pizza and ice cream, while listening to performers such as Charlie in Year 10 and Static Legato.
We ended the afternoon with a silent disco outside with Headline DJ - DJ Johnno! It truly was a brilliant afternoon to celebrate our students and reward them for their excellent demonstrations of Pride, Respect, and Success this term.

Congratulations to our Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award students, who successfully completed their three-day expedition on Dartmoor this weekend, marking a memorable end to their secondary school journey.
Over the course of three days, the team trekked more than 60km, travelling from Cornwood near Ivybridge and wild camping near Sheepstor on Friday night, before continuing to a campsite near Peter Tavy on Saturday. Along the way, the six students consumed almost 80 litres of water as they tackled the challenges of the moor together.
Most importantly, they had fun, enjoyed their independence and proved what can be achieved through teamwork, perseverance and friendship.
Well done to every student involved. You were a credit to the school and your families, and it was a privilege to share the journey with you. We hope the blisters have healed and any unwelcome little companions have now been dealt with! ππ₯ΎποΈ
