Summer Course Improvements ⛳️

Our Greenkeeping team have been hard at work all summer to improve specific areas of the course 🚜

5th hole stream clearance to aid drainage and playability 💦

5th tee elevated and repositioned 🏌🏼‍♂️

10th hole integration almost complete with the green complex taking shape 😯

16th hole redesign and almost ready for play 🔜

Tremendous work by the team and we can’t wait to see the course back to it’s brilliant best in the new year 🤩

18th Pond makeover ⛲️

One of our signature features on the course is the pond next to the 18th green. This week work is complete on draining, matting and refilling it to clean the water and provide a thriving habitat for pond wildlife. It will also be an important source of water for our greens at the top end ot the course 🦆

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to remove the hazard it presents to approaches into 18 and it will still swallow up your golf ball if you miss the target 🤭

Today we welcomed Seniors from as far as Holsworthy Golf Course and Cape Cornwall CCC, plus some familiar faces from closer to home!

Conditions improved throughout the day, with the course responding positively to some long overdue rain!

Prize winners were as follows with the members using their superior course knowledge to dominate the main competition:
