🚀 THE BRANNEL ADVANTAGE: YEAR 11 OPEN & BOOST SESSIONS

We're excited to launch our new Year 11 after-school programme next week, giving pupils even more opportunities to build strong habits, develop their confidence and work towards success in their GCSEs.

📚 OPEN SESSIONS – EVERYONE WELCOME!

Our English, Maths, Science, History and Geography sessions are open to all Year 11 pupils. Whether it's practising past papers, improving exam technique or getting support with tricky questions, everyone is encouraged to come along and make the most of these opportunities.

🎯 YEAR 11 BOOST – PERSONALISED SUPPORT

Alongside our Open Sessions, subject teachers have identified pupils who would particularly benefit from additional support, including dedicated time to complete, develop and refine important coursework.

Pupils invited to Boost sessions will receive a personalised letter detailing which sessions they are expected to attend. Please keep an eye out for this coming home!

🚌 Sessions run from 3:00–4:15 pm, with late buses available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

As we build towards our November PPEs, every session is an opportunity to make progress. Small habits, repeated consistently, make a big difference.

We look forward to seeing as many Year 11 pupils as possible next week!

📚Sparx Maths Homework

Sparx Maths homework has now been set for all Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 learners.

🗓️ Set: Every Tuesday at 3:00pm
⏰ Due: The following Tuesday at 7:00am

Please make sure you complete your homework by the deadline and allow yourself plenty of time if you need any support.

📣 ONE WEEK TO GO – YEAR 11 INFORMATION EVENING

Our Year 11 Information Evening takes place on Thursday 17th September.

There are two sessions available:
🕓 4:15pm–5:30pm
🕕 5:45pm–7:00pm

The evening is designed to help students and families feel informed, supported and ready for the year ahead.

During the evening, you will have the opportunity to:
• hear all the key information about the Year 11 journey, including important dates and milestones
• share any questions or concerns you have so that we can address the things that matter most to our families
• take part in practical guidance around how you can support effective revision at home
• collect free English and Maths revision guides, provided by the school for every Year 11 student
• hear more about the support, revision and intervention that will be available throughout the year

🎟️ Prom ticket prize draw
Every Year 11 student who attends the evening will have their name entered into a prize draw to win a prom ticket.

We want to make the evening as useful and relevant as possible, so please let us know if you are coming and which session you will be attending.

A ClassCharts announcement will be sent with a short form for parents and carers to complete.
