DID YOU KNOW that the cello was historically considered a masculine instrument? Holding, and playing on, one was deemed ‘unladylike’… immoral, even… so ‘ladies’ were highly discouraged from playing the instrument 🤦‍♀️🤦🤦‍♂️Thankfully, we’ve moved on from such gender stereotyping and discrimination with regard to musical instruments.
