It’s incredible the difference the sessions with Mike have made to our son’s confidence. He had been struggling for while and we were extremely worried about his prospects with sats looming but Mike listened to our concerns and put together a program of development and he has gone from strength to strength. He attained age related expectation by the end of the year, sailed through sats and has now settled well into his first year in secondary. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend Adventure Tuition to anybody with similar concerns.

The creative writing course was brilliant and is probably the best holiday activity that my daughter has done! She loved going along, always came out beaming and buzzing about what she had done during the day with Alison. When the book arrived, the sense of pride and achievement that she read her story with was lovely to see. As well as all the fluffy stuff, she learnt some great techniques to help her creative writing when she is at school which she will now approach with significantly more confidence having done the course.

Just wanted to let you know that thanks to Laura’s maths tuition, our daughter has moved up to the middle set after just one term of tutoring. She had her first lesson in the new class yesterday, and felt confident because she had already covered the material with Laura.

Having dyslexia doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you have a brain that works differently — and different is awesome

🌟 The Superpowers of Dyslexia! 🌟

(Spoiler: You might be a superhero and not even know it yet.)
Have you ever looked at a word and thought, “Wait… did that word just move?” Or maybe letters like b and d keep switching places like sneaky twins playing tricks on you.
If that sounds familiar, you might have dyslexia — and guess what? That’s not bad news. It actually means your brain is special. Like, superhero special. 🦸♀️🦸♂️
Let’s talk about all the awesome things dyslexic brains can do that other people’s brains can’t!
🧠 1. You Think in Pictures (Like a Movie Director!)
While some people’s brains think in boring black-and-white text, dyslexic minds often think in colorful 3D movies!
That means you can picture ideas, remember stories, and imagine worlds faster than a squirrel on a trampoline. 🐿️💥
Lots of artists, inventors, and even movie makers are dyslexic — because they can see things in their heads before anyone else can. So if you like drawing, building, or inventing, your brain is basically saying, “I got you.” 🎨🔧
🔍 2. You See the Big Picture
Some people get stuck on tiny details (like making sure their shoelaces are exactly the same length). But not you! You’re the one who says, “Hold on, I’ve got a plan.”
