Doug’s BIG challenge
Hi Lovely Peeps, I hope you don’t mind me posting this here. As many of you know my AMAZiNG, or you could say CRAZY husband Doug likes a challenge!! For his next endeavour he is cycling a mere 1000 miles from Chile to Argentina in January 2024!
As part of this challenge he’s looking to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Care. Along with the amazing medical team at Spire the incredible and dedicated MacMillan Breast Cancer nurse, Amber Dance has been a shinning light this year throughout my own journey. Thank you for taking the time to read this and any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. With love and thanks Karen ❤️🫂❤️🫂 xx
You can help him raise money for this great cause by donating directly to my fundraising page - https://www.justgiving.com/DougPlunkett1000.
JustGiving sends your donation straight to Macmillan Cancer Support and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
Thank you for your support!

Here are some of our top tips to appear confident on camera (even if you don’t feel it)!👇
⭐Look at the camera
It’s very tempting to watch yourself on the screen, however, it’s important to look directly at the camera in order to establish a connection between you and your audience.
⭐Open body language
Body language on camera is as important as it is in person! ‘Open’ body language is when you are relaxed and grounded.
⭐Practice! Practice! Practice!
The best way to gain confidence on camera is to practice!

The story behind Business On Screen
Businesses On Screen is owned by Karen! A hands-on professional who’s presenting experience has taught her about what it takes to make the perfect presenter! That’s why, in 2017, having run Teens on Scree, Karen launched Businesses on Screen to help adults get over the fear of presenting on camera and to live audiences. With thanks to Debbie Gilbert of Businesseswomen Un Ltd
She coaches individuals and groups to get over their fear of being in front of camera and on-stage by using hints, tips and techniques from years of experience. This includes dealing with nerves and teaching them how to connect with their audience in a personable and authentic way.
While presenting to camera comes as second nature to Karen, we know it is a whole new ball game compared to communicating to a room full of people if you’re not used to it or if you’ve had no training or previous experience.
But Karen is here to help! Click the link below to find out more:

Body language is so important!
Body language assists us in understanding and decoding what the other person is saying.
It also helps us to interpret others' moods and emotions. Moreover, it enhances our conscious understanding of people's reactions to what we say and how we say it.
