What an amazing experience it has been having the baby chicks here with us! Watching them hatch and grow, seeing them eating and drinking, and getting to observe all their little personalities has been so special.

The highlight of all was seeing the excitement and joy as cuddles were shared such precious moments and memories made. ❤️🐥

Sadly, our little visitors have now gone back home to their farm, and they’ll definitely be missed. We’re so grateful to have had this wonderful experience and to have shared such a magical journey.

Meet Marshmellow, our first chick to hatch 🐣

Look what’s arrived! 🐣🥚

We are so egg-cited to have our eggs arrive yesterday! All of the children will get the chance to see the eggs and, hopefully, experience the exciting moment of them hatching. They will then help to look after the chicks as they grow.

The children have already loved watching our tadpoles grow, we’ve recently welcomed caterpillars too, and now eggs such amazing hands on learning opportunities for the children to explore life cycles, growth, and caring for living things. 🌱🐸🦋🐥

We can’t wait to share this exciting journey with you all!

Our nature garden is nearly ready, and we couldn’t be more excited to soon open this beautiful space for the children to explore 🌿

A huge thank you to Stacey, who has been busy planting an amazing variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables. We now have mint, sage, oregano, thyme, garden peas, lettuce, potatoes, cola plant, a pear tree, runner beans, and strawberries growing in our garden 🍓🥬🌱

We can’t wait for the children to get hands-on, discover how things grow, and enjoy this wonderful outdoor learning space. It’s going to be such a special place for curiosity, exploration, and lots of muddy fun!

Stacey had planted some lovely herbs in our garden area 🌿

She took a little helper outside to pick some fresh oregano, which we used in our yummy lunch yesterday.

Lorna was over the moon to be able to use herbs we’ve grown ourselves in her recipes such a special moment!

And we can confirm… lunch tasted super yummy too 👌🏽

Today we celebrated Earth Day 🌍

We spent time talking about our world and how we can all help to keep it clean and tidy, and why this is so important for our environment. The children showed great interest and shared some lovely ideas about how they can help at home too.

Some of the children even got involved in recycling activities, learning how to sort items and understand what can be reused. We also carried out lots of exciting activities, including hands-on tuff tray experiences that encouraged exploration and discussion about caring for our planet.
