Spain has made history by becoming the first country in Europe to offer paid menstrual leave. 🇪🇸

People experiencing painful periods can now take 3 days off, and in severe cases up to 5, without losing any pay.

The leave is backed by medical certification and funded through national social security, so employers aren’t penalized.

The goal: acknowledge menstrual pain as a genuine health issue and support those who need time to recover without stigma, guilt, or financial stress.

A major milestone for workplace health and gender equality.
