Unique Training Solutions

Unique Training Solutions We provide specialist training, qualifications and Apprenticeships nationally to organisations within Health, Housing and Social Care.

UTS have been designing, developing and delivering Health, Housing and Social Care training courses and qualifications since 2003. Our delivery teams have an outstanding level of occupational competence and are qualified professionals in their fields of practice. VISION
Unique Training Solutions will be a pioneer in the provision of skills and qualifications; we will inspire the sector to commit t

o quality programmes for their staff which will enable them to improve the well-being and quality of life of those they support. OUR CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
It is important for us to plan effectively together to meet your desired outcomes for any project and for communication to take place throughout the service delivery period with more formal review on completion. We don’t ‘just deliver training and qualifications’, we work in partnership with our customers to understand their business, to provide support with their workforce development planning, to understand the impact our provision is having on practice and to improve performance across their business. OUR SUBJECT LEADS
Our subject leads are responsible for the ongoing review and development of our courses and associated materials. This ensures our content is current, mapped to all appropriate standards, is written to the Department of Health's guidelines and meets all your required outcomes. Our subject leads constantly research their subject areas using a range of methods, including attending seminars and conferences delivered by experts in their field. Our leads are also members of professional organisations; this ensures we receive regular updates that include legislative changes. The subject leads responsibility also extends to the on-going development of our trainers and the delivery of internal CPD days. OUR TRAINERS & ASSESSORS
Our delivery teams have hands on experience of the working environment in which they deliver courses. They are made up of professionals who are qualified in their areas of expertise such as nursing, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and registered managers. Sector knowledge and occupational competence are vital for the delivery of quality learning programmes; we only interview and recruit applicants who clearly demonstrate several years of experience within the sector, hold relevant professional qualifications and, through our selection process, clearly demonstrate their commitment to the development of excellent care practice. It is this sector expertise that brings real life to our courses and challenges the thinking of learners. DELIVERY METHODS
Our expert teams create and deliver innovative programmes that engage, inspire and motivate people. People learn in different ways, to ensure we meet all individual's learning styles we include a range of delivery methods within each session:

• Case studies;
• Open discussions with feedback;
• Group discussions with feedback;
• Presentations from the trainer, individuals or groups;
• Team based learning;
• Real life examples;
• Work place scenarios;
• Role play;
• Demonstrations;
• Observation;
• Practical work;
• Inquiry based learning;
• Lecture;
• Simulation;
• Peer learning;
• Debates;
• Problem solving;
• Reflection;
• Questions and answers;
• Mind maps;
• Micro-teach. All of our lesson plans are learner focused and look at what the learner is gaining from the session. We ensure all learners are engaged and participating in the learning process from the start of a session and throughout the whole day. By constantly assessing the learner’s capabilities within a group we can ensure that all learning outcomes are met. MEASURING IMPACT
We work with you to develop tailored impact assessment; we will discover how you want to measure the performance of the training and what objectives you want met through the training sessions. For example, you may want to measure how the training has:

• Improved CQC ratings;
• Improved your customer surveys;
• Reduced sick days;
• Improved staff retention;
• Improved care practise. Our impact measurement is always discussed with our customers on an individual basis. RECOGNISED SKILLS FOR CARE PROVIDER

Thank you Persona Care and Support for the recognition and support. We have consistently valued our training partnership.

April is Autism Acceptance Month but we're always asking ourselves:
What do we want to do to support autistic people in Bury and how can we do this to the best of our ability?
When we say we enable support that makes a positive difference - what does it mean in real life?

For us, it's ensuring everyone we support and work with feels
- informed
- safe
- empowered

To make it easier for everyone to get involved, learn and achieve their goals, we've been supporting our caring colleagues and those who support them with the tools they need to be aware of different people's needs and feel confident to make reasonable adjustments, whatever they may be.

That includes training in:
- Oliver McGowan Training
- Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI training)
- Intensive Interaction training
and wherever we can, we're learning from trainers with lived experience who are paid for their time and expertise.

It’s not only people we support who will benefit from this; our colleagues will too. When we understand people's strengths and needs better, everyone benefits: people with autism, learning disabilities and other neurodivergences or additional needs, whether they have a diagnosis or not.

Thank you to these people for making our learning possible:
