SPORTS DAY 2026

We are so proud of the children for their participation, determination and resilience that they showed today. A huge congratulations to the winning classes in each phase but also to everyone who joined in and had fun.

It was great to see and hear the children cheering and supporting each other throughout all the team sports and in the individual races.

Such a lovely way to finish this half term 😊

Today we welcomed Lou Meadows to speak to the children about her career as a top level rugby player and coach. She brought her world cup winners medal with her too. Her message reinforced Jodie's about the hard work and commitment that she has needed to be successful. It was inspirational to hear about her achievements.

Today we welcomed Jodie Williams to our school. She spent some time sharing her story of how she became an athlete and how she completed her dream of winning an Olympic medal. Her story taught us to never give up, to learn from our failures and to keep moving, keep believing.
It was really inspiring hearing how Jodie started her journey as an athlete as a child in Year 4 and completed her dream at the age of 30, winning an Olympic medal.

The children then spent some time with Jodie completing the sponsored exercise circuit. Everyone had so much fun and even when they were tired , kept going to complete all four exercises. Well done everyone ☺️👍
