If you are able to volunteer to help with the Spooky Disco you can also sign up for that on PTA events too.

Tickets for our Wreath Making Evening will also be on sale soon so keep an eye out for those.

As mentioned at last week’s curriculum meeting we are also looking for new members to join the PTA Committee to help us organise these events and keep PTA activity and fundraising going so if you are interested in getting involved please email us: [email protected]

Here’s how the PTA funds have helped support the children this year! From basics like reading books to improving learning spaces like the wonderful nature area and ensuring children can have engaging learning experiences through workshops and trips.

We also continue to support our Year 6 leavers’ celebrations and we hope you’ve all enjoyed your time at the school and our many PTA events along the way. Good luck to all of you in your new schools from September 💙

So… the kids music teacher Mike is on BGT tomorrow in the live semi finals (Wednesday ITV) and we really want to give him the best chance of getting through to the finals as possible - we think he is truly awesome 🥰

The Fair will go ahead whatever the weather (if it rains we’ll be indoors) so please do come along and join in the fun.

Summer Fair
Saturday 18th May, 12-3pm

The countdown is on to our Summer Fair and we have lots planned. We need to ask for your help with volunteering and donations to make it a success!

Volunteers:
Many hands make light work! We've been busy putting lots of stalls and games together but we do really need your support to ensure that we can run them all. If you can volunteer even just one hour it will help and you will still get to enjoy the fair with your own family and don’t forget the hub team will be offering childcare for volunteers during the fair.

We need help with:
💙Preparing for the fair on Friday
❤️Set up or clear up on the day of the fair
💙Running stalls during the fair: games, arts and crafts, STEM lab, food and drink etc

Summer Fair Donations:
We are asking for donations of any of the following, details will be given next week of when and where to drop them off.

🍾 Bottles (alcoholic/non-alcoholic)
🍫 Chocolate
🎁 Gifts for tombola prizes
💝 Bottles (toiletries)
🐻 Cuddly toys in good clean condition
🎂 Cakes for the cake sale
🪴 Cuttings and plants for our green sale

Please do not bring in bric a brac - thank you.

🛍️Mystery Bags:
The bags will be coming home with children this week. Each child will bring home two bags, if you have any unfilled bags please return them to the school office to reuse. Mystery bags are always so popular so if you are able to fill two we do appreciate it and additional brown bags are available in the School Office.

Please:
1. Colour the handle in your house colour as house points will be awarded to the house with the most bags. Decorate bag.
2. Mark whether the contents are for girls/boys/unisex.
3. Fill the bag with small items such as sweets, stickers, stationery, mini games, fidget toys etc
4. Return to your child's class teacher next week

💟 HAIR BRAIDING CLASS
Tuesday 27th February

First up we have the fabulous Braid Maidens back to show us more great braiding tips. Open to any mums, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends who want to know how to do amazing braids. Learn how to do two fun braiding looks plus the popular Dutch Braid which is the basis of lots of fabulous hairstyles!

Come along for a fun evening, bring your friends or come and just come along and meet new people.

🍷 LADIES WINE TASTING EVENING
Wednesday 6th March

In a week that’s all about the women in our community we are marking International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day with a special Ladies Wine Tasting Evening.

Grab your gal pals and join us and the lovely Catherine Myford-Mahoney (from the wine club at The Hub on Veralum) for a fun and relaxed evening tasting wines from female wine producers! We’ll kick-off glass of bubbles before working our way through the wine selection with some cheeses from local favourite, The Fleetville Larder.

🎄 Jingle & Mingle 🎄
Friday 8th December, 3.30-5.30pm

Get ready for a festive celebration at our Christmas event, Jingle and Mingle, on Friday, 8th December, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Join us for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and holiday spirit! We’ll have festive arts and crafts, games, glitter tattoos and festive henna, Christmas performances by the children from Glee and the school choir, Santa’s Grotto (booking required), food and hot chocolate and our bar will be open!
